Today's MLB slates are split up as is the norm for September baseball. Half the guys I think will play will not, so you have to be as flexible as Gumby to play MLB DFS in September, but that also means that there is a lot of money out there should you dare to dive in those waters. That's why we're here.
There are nine games on the main slate for tonight's action. Two pitchers tip the scales on DraftKings at five figures. Five of them weigh in over that mark on FanDuel. So, hey...at least we have some nice pitching on this slate! That makes it easier.
As always, this article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. Saturday's main slate locks at 7:10 pm EST on 9/17/2022. The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack! You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all of that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Shohei Ohtani vs. SEA ($10,400 DK and FD)
It should come as a surprise to no one that Seattle has not hit Ohtani well. Not this year. Not ever. This year the M's have been even worse against Ohtani though. Ohtani boasts 14 strikeouts with just two runs allowed on ten hits in 12 innings against Seattle. That low WHIP counts for more on DK, but those K ratios play big on both sites. Don't overthink this. In cash, you need Ohtani.
George Kirby at LAA ($8,000 DK, $9,300 FD)
It's counterintuitive to use pitchers against each other on DraftKings, but I'm seriously considering it. Kirby has dominated the Angels this year, striking out 21 Halos in 17.2 innings while allowing six runs. I particularly like the high strikeout numbers and will pivot to Kirby in GPP formats. I prefer the larger savings on DraftKings, but you can't argue with the results. Kirby's ERA is still below 3 on the season.
Also consider: Chris Bassitt, Joe Musgrove, Jose Urquidy

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Freddie Freeman - 1B, LAD at John Brebbia ($5,600 DK, $4,300 FD)
Brebbia is just the opener, but it's not like it matters. Freeman is running hot right now. Freeman is hitting .395 with four homers, ten RBI, and just five strikeouts to seven walks over the last ten games. Freeman is having a September to remember so far. He should keep it up against the Giants in a bullpen game for them.
Eduardo Escobar - 3B, NYM vs. Bryse Wilson ($4,000 DK, $3,100 FD)
Escobar had a rough August, but he is on a roll of late with five homers already in September to go with a .373 average and nine RBI. Since Austin Riley is in the midst of a God-awful slump, I'll save some pennies and drop down to the red-hot Escobar.
Willy Adames - SS, MIL vs. Jameson Taillon ($5,000 DK, $3,400 FD)
Adames comes at a nice discount on FanDuel, but again, he's running so hot I'll use him anywhere. The former Rays prospect is hitting .351 with three homers and 10 RBI in the last week! Taillon has been had a few times this year. In fact, his last start was the first time since July 28 that he didn't allow a homer. I'll say Adames gets him today.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Yordan Alvarez - OF, HOU vs. Cole Irvin ($6,400 DK, $4,300 FD)
I really love the price drop on Alvarez on FD, but I'll use him anywhere right now. He has double-digit fantasy points in each of the last five games he has played in. He homered in his first three at-bats last night. The odds of him doing that again? Not terrible. Yordan is 8-for-17 with a pair of homers in his career against Irvin. By the way, he is hitting .426 with six homers and 12 RBI against anyone unfortunate enough to wear an A's uniform against him this year.
Ronald Acuna Jr. -OF, ATL vs. Aaron Nola ($5,600 DK, $3,700 FD)
There are a few Braves that hit Nola well. One of them is Austin Riley, who is colder than Antarctica in January right now. The other is Acuna, who is 11-for-32 with three homers and seven walks in his career against Nola. I don't make it a point to go after pitchers like Nola, but I do when it offers leverage. Most will ignore the Braves here, but Acuna gets on base and hasn't struck out much against Nola. That's a good combination.
Aristides Aquino - OF, CIN at Jose Quintana ($2,100 DK, $2,500 FD)
Aquino is too cheap on DraftKings. He is hitting .306 with a pair of homers and four RBI this week. Quintana usually isn't a victim of gopher balls, but Aquino's raw power is among the best in the league. He just can't hit righties. Fortunately for us and our budget, Quintana is a lefty. I'll ride a warm Aquino against a lefty any day.
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
Here are my top stacks for tonight (in the order in which I like them):
Los Angeles Dodgers - Any time an offense like this goes up against any team's bullpen, they have my attention. The Dodgers are expensive for a reason. Try some Cody Bellinger or Justin Turner for some much-needed salary relief to afford the rest of this stack.
New York Mets - Bryse Wilson has allowed at least three runs in every start for the last six weeks. I already talked about Escobar's hot streak, but Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, and Francisco Lindor are also running hot.
Honorable mention: Arizona Diamondbacks
