It's the last day of July, the weather is hot, and the trade deadline along with the MLB playoff races are heating up! For some players playing today, this could be the last time we see them in their current uniforms before they get sent to a new team. It's an exciting time of year to be a baseball fan, that's for sure!
This article has daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 7/31/2022, Main Slate at 1:05 pm Eastern Time. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is 10 games on DraftKings and 11 on FanDuel as the Coors Field game between the Dodgers and Rockies is FanDuel only.

Arizona - Atlanta and Saint Louis-Washington have some light showers in the forecast. It is unclear how severe any of these games will be and you should check for any updates on Twitter prior to lock!
DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Aaron Nola- P, PHI @ PIT ($9,700 DK, $10,700 FD)
Shane McClanahan, Dylan Cease, and Aaron Nola are all worthy of being rostered among SP spend-ups. McClanahan pitches to Cleveland, Cease to Oakland, and Nola to Pittsburgh. All are in good matchups. If I played three lineups, I'd have one of each of these guys as my top SP because any one of them could easily be the top SP on the slate. Nola gets the nod here because he is the least expensive and has a high floor with a 3.3% walk rate. He also has a 2.90 SIERA (second best on the slate), and a 28% strikeout rate.
If stuck with just one lineup, Nola would be my top pick for cash games. Cease would be my fade as his walk rate is 10.6%, making him a higher risk than the other two, and McClanahan would be my top tournament pick because he is the most expensive pitcher on the slate.
Nick Lodolo- P, CIN vs. BAL ($7,100 DK, $9,200 FD)
Nick Lodolo is too cheap on DraftKings. He has a 3.25 SIERA and a 30.5% strikeout rate. He has very similar numbers to Dylan Cease as Cease has a 3.18 SIERA and a 33.4% strikeout rate. Lodolo has a tougher matchup in a tougher ballpark than the three top pitchers but how can he not be the top SP2 on DraftKings?
Aaron Ashby - P, MIL @ BOS ($8,100 DK, $8,400 FD)
Normally I would be all about fading an LHP against Boston with Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez in the lineup. With Boston playing so bad, I don't mind it if looking for another option in the Lodolo price range. Ashby has a 3.38 SIERA, 27.3% strikeout rate, and a 9.8% walk rate. He is similar to Lodolo or Max Fried in terms of his abilities. One downside is he has been allowing 1.18 HR/9 this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Josh Donaldson- 3B, NYY vs. Zack Greinke ($3,800 DK, $2,700 FD)
Without lineups confirmed at the time of this writing, there are not a lot of values out there at third base today. Donaldson has just a .300 OBP and a .158 ISO but he hits in the middle of that Yankees lineup going against a pitcher with a 4.77 SIERA and a 13.4% strikeout rate. He is set up to score and drive in runs if he can have a good game.
Tim Anderson- SS, CHW vs. Adam Oller ($5,300 DK, $3,700 FD)
Shortstop is similar to third base. If you want someone good, you are going to have to spend up and without confirmed lineups, there aren't many values projected out there. Oller has a 5.38 SIERA, has a 0.6 K-BB%, and allows 2.51 HR/9. I like the White Sox in general starting with Tim Anderson at the top of the lineup as he continues to play while appealing his suspension.
Kolten Wong- 2B, ML vs. Josh Winckowski ($3,800 DK, $2,800 FD)
Kolten Wong is a very solid player at second base and priced nicely for this slate. Wong is batting .248 with a .331 OBP, a .165 ISO, seven home runs, and 11 steals. Winckowski is a good pitcher to target in DFS as he has a 4.68 SIERA, a 6.8% K-BB%, and 1.35 HR/9.
Hunter Dozier - 1B, KC vs. Jordan Montgomery ($2,800 DK, $2,600 FD)
Hunter Dozier has a .355 wOBA against LHP. If looking for a value, he's not a bad pick. You could also punt with a Mike Moustakas going against Austin Voth.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Aaron Judge - OF, NYY vs. Zack Greinke ($6,200 DK, $5,000 FD)
Yes, he is very expensive. He is also on fire with no slowing down in sight. Find a way to get him in the lineup.
Jordan Luplow- OF, ARI vs. Max Fried ($2,900 DK, $2,400 FD)
Obviously, we normally don't want to target Fried. But if we are going to try to get Judge in our lineups, we are going to need some punt plays. Luplow has a .351 wOBA and .338 ISO against LHP this season.
Luke Raley- OF, TB vs. Bryan Shaw ($2,000 DK, $2,200 FD)
The Tampa Bay offense is in a good spot today. Raley has just 15 games of MLB action this year and has a .340 OBP in that small sample. In Triple-A, he had a .385 OBP and a .270 ISO with eight home runs in 119 plate appearances.
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
Here are a few stacks I am really liking today:
- Chicago White Sox- Oller is probably the worst pitcher on the slate.
- New York Yankees - Expensive but at this point how can they be faded against Zack Greinke and the Royals bullpen?
- Milwaukee Brewers- Josh Winckowski is a good pitcher to target with a 4.68 SIERA and allowing 1.35 HR/9.
- Seattle Mariners - I like this offense more with Julio Rodriguez in it but Odorizzi has a 4.72 SIERA with a 10.5% K-BB%. They could be sneaky today against a bad starting pitcher.
