It's the day before the Fourth of July, so for many people, this Sunday will feel more like a Saturday and hopefully many get the chance to watch some MLB today as the games are mostly during the day with one Sunday night game. This article has daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 7/3/2022, Main Slate at 1:35 pm Eastern Time.
The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is 9 games on DraftKings and FanDuel. There are a lot of different routes one can go with lineup construction and tournament strategy.

Today's MLB Weather Outlook
There are no concerns on the slate as of this writing!
DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Brandon Woodruff- P, MIL @ PIT ($9,500 DK, $10,000 FD)
Brandon Woodruff is the top spend-up option on the slate. He has the highest strikeout rate at 31.0% and the second-lowest SIERA on the slate at 2.95. Pittsburgh has the fourth-highest strikeout rate against RHP this season at 24.9% and a wRC+ of just 86. Milwaukee is heavily favored in the game, so the win and quality start are in play in addition to strikeout upside.
Shane Baz- P, TBR @ TOR ($7,900 DK, $8,100 FD)
Shane Baz is one of my favorite tournament plays on the slate. He has the second-highest strikeout rate at 28.4% and a 3.57 SIERA. His walk rate is 9.5% which is on the high side. I do not roster players with a walk rate in the double digits. Tampa Bay is not favored in the game and Baz has only made it through six innings once in his four starts, so on FanDuel, he is a bit riskier since getting the win is important on FanDuel. Still, he is a good pitcher and I am willing to put him in a GPP lineup. On DraftKings, I'd consider him as an SP2.
Connor Seabold- P, BOS @ CHC ($5,000 DK, $6,400 FD)
Connor Seabold looks good in a small sample size. He has a 28% strikeout rate, a 4% walk rate, and a SIERA of just 2.88. He is also pitching at Wrigley Field, to a mediocre Cubs lineup with the wind blowing in. Why is he so cheap? Because he pitched just 4.2 innings and unfortunately his ERA is 13.50. Boston is also favored to win in this game. If I need a punt play, I am going to give Seabold a shot. If playing just one lineup, I wouldn't use him but if playing multiple lineups in tournaments, I'd have one lineup in him as you will be able to fit some big bats.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Luis Urias- 3B, MIL vs. Jose Quintana ($3,000 DK, $3,000 FD)
Jose Quintana isn't a horrible pitcher or anything but Urias is just priced right here. Milwaukee is implied for over four runs, Urias will likely bat middle of the order. In his career, he has a .190 ISO, .356 wOBA, and 123 wRC+ against LHP, while this season his ISO is .163 but he has a 128 wRC+ against LHP.
Carlos Correa- SS, MIN vs. Tyler Wells ($4,500 DK, $3,400 FD)
Shortstop is a spend-up position today unless one punts at someone at the bottom of the order. Of the expensive plays, Correa is my favorite. He isn't the most expensive, Minnesota is implied for five runs, and he has a .182 ISO and 134 wRC+ against RHP this season. Wells has a low 15.5% strikeout rate and a hard-hit rate of 36.4% this season.
Jorge Polanco - 2B, MIN vs. Tyler Wells ($4,100 DK, $3,300 FD)
I like Minnesota today for reasons laid out above. Polanco has a .195 ISO, .345 wOBA, and a 127 wRC+ against RHP this season.
Garrett Cooper/Jesus Aguilar- 1B, MIA vs. Erick Fedde ($3,100/$2,200 DK, $2,800/$2,700 FD)
Erick Fedde has a 4.81 SIERA, a 42.5% hard-hit rate, a 10.7% walk rate, and just an 18.5% strikeout rate. He is a pitcher to target for sure today. Cooper has the higher floor while Aguilar has the higher upside. Cooper has a .168 ISO and 155 wRC+ against RHP while Aguilar has a .183 ISO and 112 wRC+. On DraftKings, the $900 in savings might make Aguilar the better play. On FanDuel where they are both the same, Cooper is probably the better play but will depend on what the rest of your lineup looks like.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Jesus Sanchez- OF, MIA vs. Erick Fedde ($3,500 DK, $2,600 FD)
Jesus Sanchez has a .242 ISO and .332 wOBA against RHP this season. Erick Fedde has the highest SIERA on the slate.
Alex Kirilloff- OF, MIN vs. Tyler Wells ($2,600 DK, $2,500 FD)
Alex Kiriloff tore up Triple-A and was supposed to come up to the MLB and do the same. I have not seen that yet, but this is his chance. I like Kirilloff as a one-off or in lineups where I do not have other Twins, especially if he bats in the bottom third of the order.
Anthony Santander- OF, BAL vs. Devin Smeltzer ($3,800 DK, $2,900 FD)
Devin Smeltzer is not a great pitcher. He has a 4.64 SIERA, just a 15.8% strikeout rate, and allows 1.25 HR/9. Santander has a .190 ISO to LHP in an Orioles lineup that could do well today.
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
Here are a few stacks I am really liking today:
- Miami Marlins -Erick Fedde is arguably the worst pitcher on the slate.
- Minnesota Twins- Tyler Wells has virtually the same SIERA as Fedde and is allowing more home runs too.
- Baltimore Orioles - Smeltzer's 2.86 ERA is deceiving as he has a 4.64 SIERA. Regression will come at some point.
- New York Yankees - Triston McKenzie isn't bad, he has a 4.03 ERA and a 4.09 SIERA, but he allows 1.79 HR/9
- Houston Astros - Jose Suarez has a high walk rate (11.3%), allows 1.36 HR/9, and has a 4.37 SIERA. Houston is expensive, which may make them hard to get to, which makes me like this stack even more.
