We have a busy Saturday in the works with most of it during the day. Are they letting the college boys have their fun in Omaha, or was this just MLB wanting to get people out in the summer sun? Whatever the case, we're here for it! Well...except for the Cubs and Cardinals in London. They're on their own.
This article contains my picks for the 10-game main slate on Saturday, June 24, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 4:05 PM ET. Rain along the eastern seaboard could be a problem again, most notably in Baltimore and New York. Keep a close eye on those games as we approach the lock time.
The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
James Paxton, BOS at CWS ($10,300 DK, $10,100 FD)
Much was made of Paxton's demise after allowing five runs in three innings against the struggling Angels on May 24. Since then, Paxton has only allowed six runs over his last four starts with at least seven strikeouts in each of those games. In fact, Paxton has cleared 20 DraftKings points in all six of his other starts in 2023.
I could put the Statcast page here, but all it shows is that the current White Sox have struck out a lot against Paxton, but they are also hitting him fairly well even if they aren't hitting him hard. I'll take some singles here and there if Paxton keeps racking up more than a strikeout per inning, which he should against this team.
Luis Severino, NYY vs. TEX ($7,200 DK, $7,200 FD)
This is a tough sell right now with Severino struggling to get his footing in 2023 after a lat strain delayed his season debut until May 21. His outing against Boston last week was the first game in which he didn't allow a homer since that first start on May 21. Progress, right?
This smaller sample size suggests that Severino has dominated the Rangers so far and the Statcast supports this with the xBA and xSLG not much higher than the actual. Just take a look at the exit velocity and launch angle. The Rangers aren't hitting the ball hard or elevating. A bulk of this is from leadoff hitter Marcus Semien, but Grossman, Seager, and Lowe have all struggled too. Taveras is the only Ranger I really have an interest in, so why not take a chance on a cheap Severino with a Statcast page like this?
Others to consider: Bryce Miller ($9,500 DK, $9,100 FD) at BAL; Max Scherzer ($8,900 DK, $9,200 FD) at PHI

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Matt Olson - 1B, ATL at CIN ($5,900 DK, $4,000 FD)
We have seen Olson put up some huge hot streaks in his career. He may be in the midst of one of those now. Olson has four homers in the last five games with nine RBI and six runs scored. A series in Cincinnati won't cool him off any with that pitching staff and ballpark. We don't call it Great American Small Park for nothing!
Justin Turner - 3B, BOS at CWS ($3,800 DK, $3,500 FD)
Don't let Lance Lynn's last start fool you. The 16 strikeouts were a total fluke. He has still allowed 21 runs in his last four starts. Turner is hitting .366 with three homers, 13 RBI, and 11 runs scored in the last ten games. He even pitched in a steal for good measure. If I trusted the Boston offense, I would stack against Lynn. Instead, I'll just go with the guy on a hot streak.
Maikel Garcia - 3B/SS, KC at TB ($3,100 DK, $2,900 FD)
Garcia has a seven-game hitting streak going, including two hits in the game that Shane McClanahan started against him. He also stole three bases in that game! Garcia won't give you much power, but this is a guy that hasn't had more than three hitless games in a row this season. The steals in the first game of this series doubled his season total, but both of his homers have been hit this month as well. He's heading in the right direction.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Randy Arozarena - OF, TB vs. KC ($6,000 DK, $4,200 FD)
Arozarena has ten hits in the last five games with a double, a homer, six RBI, and four runs scored. You know me...if I'm paying up, I want a guy on a hot streak. That's Arozarena. It doesn't hurt that he is 3-for-10 in his career against Jordan Lyles with a pair of homers. Add that to his current hot streak, and he's a guy worth paying up for on a slate full of them.
Michael Harris II - OF, ATL at CIN ($4,300 DK, $2,900 FD)
There are hot streaks, then there's what Harris is doing. He has a staggering 20 hits in his last 11 games, good for a .478 average with three homers, 10 RBI, nine runs scored, and three stolen bases. Again, a series in Cincinnati isn't going to cool off his hot bat. Harris is an absolute lock at that price on FD.
Mike Yastrzemski - OF, SF vs. ARI ($2,900 DK, $2,900 FD)
We hope Yastrzemski is back in the lineup today because of his history against Merrill Kelly, but he hasn't played since Wednesday against the Padres due to a hamstring issue. If he is in there, Yaz is 8-for-26 with seven of those eight hits against Kelly going for extra bases. Three of them left the yard. Yastrzemski is riding a modest four-game hitting streak in which he has two homers and six RBI. Let's hope the time off didn't cool him off.
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
Atlanta Braves vs. Graham Ashcraft
Ashcraft has allowed 41 runs in his last seven starts. The time on the IL couldn't possibly have hurt him any. These two teams combined for 21 runs last night and it could happen again tonight. I highlighted two Braves above and it's going to be really hard to limit this stack to five players. Some are going with a correlated stack by the batting order, but I'm going to go with the guys on massive heaters: Ozzie Albies, Eddie Rosario, Ronald Acuna, Harris II, and Olson.
Also consider: Tampa Bay Rays vs. Jordan Lyles
Lyles has allowed four or more runs in 12 of his 15 starts this season. If the Rays were on the hot streak that most of the Braves are, they would get top billing. Despite Ashcraft's miserable May, he still can't claim a stat like that. Lyles has been nearly as bad as Ashcraft and the bullpen behind him is worse than the one behind Ashcraft.
Sneaky Stack: Boston Red Sox vs. Lance Lynn
Recency bias is a real thing, so I expect a lot of people to lay off the Red Sox. First of all, the Red Sox are mostly struggling, but Lynn's 16 strikeouts are going to be fresh in everyone's mind. I'm looking at the six homers allowed in the last four starts, not to mention the 21 runs. I'm especially after the cheap lefties like Triston Casas and Jarren Duran if they are in the lineup. You can fit a lot with cheap Red Sox bats.
