It's finally here and it's really happening! Our first 15-game main slate with all 30 teams in action on the same slate! I'm not usually crazy about massive slates and I'll admit that covering them is difficult, but as someone who does daily betting and DFS content, more games = more choices and I like being able to be picky with the pitchers and hitters I use in DFS as well as the bets I make on games or player props.
This slate is loaded with good plays and unfortunately, I can only pick out a handful of them for my article today. There are going to be a lot of different paths to success tonight but choose your players carefully as it's likely going to take a pretty significant amount of fantasy points to cash those lineups on either site.
As always, this article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. Friday's main slate locks at 7:05 EST on 6/10/2022. The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options, and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack! You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all of that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Triston McKenzie vs. OAK ($8,800 DK, $9,800 FD)
Going after the Athletics and Tigers today might be picking the low-hanging fruit, but consider just how bad these offenses have been when compared to the rest of the league.
The gap between the 28th worst offense and 29th/30th on the JA team scores is just laughable pic.twitter.com/loX95OjMKw
— Jon Anderson (@JonPgh) June 9, 2022
My colleague Jon does amazing things with stats and he has some unique ranking systems that he has developed for hitters and pitchers through his data analysis. His tweet was simply attempting to point out that there are bad offenses in baseball and then there are some REALLY BAD offenses in Oakland and Detroit.
McKenzie is priced up a bit compared to where we are used to seeing him, and he is coming off his least effective outing in over a month. But even in that outing against Baltimore when he surrendered five earned runs early, he still managed to bounce back and finish seven innings. As a fly ball pitcher, he's still prone to giving up some home runs, but he brings some quality strikeout upside to the table here as Oakland whiffs nearly 25% of the time against RHP. McKenzie tossed a gem against this Oakland team back on May 1, throwing 6.1 innings of shutout baseball while whiffing seven and I think we could see him do something similar again here tonight.
Jose Berrios @ DET ($7,500 DK, $8,400 FD)
I think playing some Berrios-Roulette is in order today based on the plus match-up against the Tigers and his remarkable last start in which he whiffed 13 Twins over seven innings. Berrios has been a tough nut to crack this year and his game log looks like a roller coaster ride. But the Tigers' offensive woes have continued into June and their strikeout rate against RHP is holding firm at 25%, which means Berrios could be in line for another big strikeout game IF he has his good stuff. The price is nice here, but I would be careful trusting Berrios in cash games due to his volatility this year. For tournaments, I think he probably has the most point-per-dollar upside on the slate.
Also consider: Joe Musgrove, Roansy Contreras, Aaron Ashby

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Eduardo Escobar - 3B, NYM vs. Jhonathan Diaz ($3,200 DK, $3,200 FD)
Eddy Escobar is sneaky good against left-handed pitching and he usually slides up in the five-hole when the Mets get a southpaw on the hill. He has a .402 wOBA and .317 ISO against lefties this season and is only two games removed from hitting for the cycle against the Padres on this road trip in which he's enjoyed a nice little run of productivity. He probably will only see Diaz once or twice, but Escobar is a switch-hitter who maintains the platoon advantage even when he faces right-handed relievers. He's a nice value on either site, especially DraftKings.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., - 1B, TOR vs. Elvin Rodriguez ($5,400 DK, $4,000 FD)
Rodriguez is definitely one of the pitchers on this slate that stands out as far as being someone we should want to target. He got smacked around by the Yankees in his last start, allowing ten earned runs on 11 hits in only four innings. He's been mainly a two-pitch guy, throwing a mid-90s fastball and a slider to RHH and changeup to lefties. MLB hitters are tough to get out with only two pitches unless they are both of incredible quality. And this Toronto lineup is loaded with good hitters. I like Springer and Guerrero the most based on their profiles against the fastball/slider, but I wouldn't hesitate to deploy some other Jays (many of whom are a good bit cheaper, I may add) in some Toronto stacks.
Willy Adames - SS, MIL vs. Erick Fedde ($4,400 DK, $3,000 FD)
Adames hit his first home run since returning from the IL yesterday against the Phillies. While his average is a paltry .203 on the year, he still has 10 home runs despite missing three weeks with the injury. He has been hitting RHP for power this year with a .245 ISO and Fedde is definitely a pitcher we can attack. He's not getting such groundball-heavy results this year and I like Milwaukee's chances of hitting him hard. Not only does Adames profile well, but Yelich and Tellez also look good. Whether you stack the Brewers or just play Adames as a cheap piece of this offense, I like his chances at making good on his salary.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Cedric Mullins - OF, BAL vs. Jon Heasley ($4,700 DK, $3,100 FD)
We are dealing with some small sample sizes for Heasley so far, but a .451 wOBA and .381 ISO allowed to lefties is pretty, pretty bad. The Orioles managed five runs last night, and I had my expectations set a bit higher than that. I think they can do more damage tonight against Heasley and this bad Royals bullpen. Mullins had two doubles last night and homered against the Cubs on Tuesday. He's a threat to swipe a bag, too, with 11 steals on the season. He's a better value on FanDuel than DraftKings, but firmly in play on both sites.
Jurickson Profar - OF, SDP vs. Chad Kuhl ($3,400 DK, $3,500 FD)
Chad Kuhl hasn't been all that bad this year, but he's starting to regress a bit and is still demonstrating some strong platoon splits with lefties hitting him much better than righties. Profar is a switch hitter who is hitting everything right now and has been a catalyst for this Padres' offense back in the leadoff spot. He has four multi-hit games in his last six and has posted double-digit fantasy points in five of those six games as well. He's fairly priced on both sites, too (but a better bargain on DK relative to the salary cap).
Steven Kwan - OF, CLE vs. Paul Blackburn ($2,900 DK, $2,600 FD)
How about some value in the outfield? Remember when Steven Kwan was hitting .700 after the first few weeks and some pondered whether or not he was the next Pete Rose or Ty Cobb? Yeah, well he's not and he's now hitting .274 with only one home run through the first two months. However, he did hit second in the lineup last night and went 3-4 with a walk and stole a base. He has five hits in his last seven at-bats, is he ready to go on another tear? All kidding aside, Kwan is a great contact hitter who is facing a "good, but not great pitcher" who isn't likely to strike him out. The two steals in two nights is a good sign that he might be more aggressive on the basepaths going forward, or it could just be fluky. But I think he's a solid play for cash games with a good floor as long as they continue to hit him up in the lineup.
