DraftKings Evening CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (9/21/24)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Saturday's Evening Slate (9/21/24). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

Get a load of this prime-time slate, will ya? We've got some big games on here! Miami heads up through Alligator Alley to take on USF in Tampa. Cal heads to Tallahassee to take on the Seminoles. Northwestern actually lives up to its name by visiting Seattle.

Next up is the monster in Norman with prodigal son Josh Heupel returning as the coach of Tennessee. Iowa heads to Minneapolis to fight over a bronze pig. Baylor is in Boulder to take on the Ralphies and the Sanders family. The Red Bandanna game is in Boston with Michigan State visiting. We end the slate in Corvallis with Purdue in town.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/21/24, locking at 7 p.m. EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Cameron Ward, Miami (FL) ($10K)

Southern Miss threw for 391 yards on South Florida last week. I don't see that kind of output from Ward, mostly because Miami won't need it. That said, Miami didn't need him in either of the last two games and Ward still piled up 34.46 and 36.84 DraftKings points. He'll be fine as far as production goes.

Fernando Mendoza, California ($7.2K)

California kids are getting to experience Fernando Mania the way their grandparents did 44 years ago. Well, it's not exactly the same and it's in a different part of California, but it's still of some significance.

Yes, this is a road game in a tough atmosphere, but Mendoza has been there and done that. He put up 18.52 DraftKings points in a win at Auburn in Week 2. Mendoza can fill that game manager role again in this game and he'll pay off for this price.

Dequan Finn ($5.8K) or Sawyer Robertson ($5.1K), Baylor

Finn missed the game against Air Force after struggling against Utah with "undisclosed ailments." What in the actual hell does that mean? We may never know. Robertston filled in nicely in the big win over Air Force, yet both are listed as "co-starters" on this week's depth chart.

Reports say that if Finn is healthy enough to start, he will. Well...that's convenient for coaches but not for us. Robertson has looked better than Finn so far this year. This is a dream matchup for whoever draws the start. If you are going to be around close to kickoff and can change at a moment's notice, that's a gigantic advantage in GPPs.

Also consider: Shedeur Sanders, Colorado ($9.6K); Thomas Castellanos, Boston College ($8.8K); Jack Lausch, Northwestern ($7.4K); Byrum Brown, South Florida ($6.7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Jaydn Ott, California ($8.8K)

Florida State's run defense has been awful this year. If Ott is completely healthy, he's going to flirt with 200 rushing yards. If he misses the game, Jaivian Thomas and Kadarius Calloway are both great options. We want at least one piece of the Cal running game.

Anthony Hankerson, Oregon State ($6.3K)

Hankerson has scored five rushing touchdowns in three games. Even though Oregon shut him down for the most part, Hankerson still scored both touchdowns for the Beavers. He also caught six passes in that game. Notre Dame gouged the Purdue defense. Hankerson and the Beavers should do the same.

Bryson Washington, Baylor ($3.9K)

We may finally have some clarity on the Baylor RB situation. Washington jumped to the head of the class with his performance against Air Force's solid defense.

Also consider: Kaleb Johnson, Iowa ($7.9K); Jonah Coleman, Washington ($7.2K); Damien Martinez, Miami (FL) ($6K); Cam Porter, Northwestern ($5.2K); Kay'Ron Lynch-Adams, Michigan State ($4.6K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Travis Hunter, Colorado ($9.9K)

It doesn't matter who the opponent is, Colorado is going after them with Hunter. He has 342 receiving yards on 30 receptions with five touchdowns in only three games. No other player has his ceiling.

Giles Jackson, Washington ($7.1K)

Jackson came up with his best game of the season in Washington's only close game of the season. He caught all eight passes that went his way and turned it into 162 yards and a touchdown. In what should be another close game, expect Giles to have another good one.

Daniel Jackson, Minnesota (5.3K)

The Gophers will have trouble running the ball, so they're going to need some semblance of a passing game against Iowa. Jackson isn't going to burn corners, but he will catch nearly everything thrown in his vicinity. He has a nice floor for the price.

Malik Benson, Florida State ($4.8K)

Benson's ceiling is capped because of the struggles of D.J. Uiagalelei at quarterback, but he still has 12 receptions in three games. His price feels too cheap, especially if FSU can't stop the run and falls behind again.

Also consider: Xavier Restrepo, Miami (FL) ($7K); Nyziah Hunter, California ($5.7K); Nic Anderson, Oklahoma ($5.2K); Lewis Bond, Boston College ($4.5K); Josh Cameron, Baylor ($4.3K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

California

Ott is possibly my favorite play on the entire slate and Jaivian Wright isn't far behind. I like the solid value of Mendoza and Nyziah Hunter just keeps producing.

Baylor

You want the starting quarterback and Josh Cameron for sure. Bryson Washington appears to be the running back we want after the Air Force game. I can't argue with Richard Reese either if you're willing to use two backs.

Also consider: Colorado, Miami (FL)
