This is our only split Friday slate of the season, so I'm going to enjoy it! The split allowed us to combine MACtion with other games on the main slate. The night slate is full of some intriguing plays.
Texas and Texas Tech square off in Austin for the Chancellor's Spurs for the last time in who knows how long. That's just the beginning. We have Penn State in East Lansing on a Friday night. We close this out with one of the most bitter rivalries in sports that is going to be even more bitter this year. We have the Civil War in Eugene for perhaps the last time ever. It's a small but mighty slate.
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/24/23, locking at 7:30 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Bo Nix, Oregon ($10,400)
So what if Bo Nix is a checkdown artist who vultures rushing touchdowns? Numbers sell in college football and the Ducks have been selling a Heisman campaign since August. That's the only reason Nix gets top billing: no matter what this game looks like, whatever numbers that Oregon puts up, Nix will be a part of it. That's a guaranteed floor that might be worth paying for on a slate full of treacherous quarterback risks.
Behren Morton, Texas Tech ($6,800)
If all you're expecting from Morton is a solid game, I think we'll be very happy with the results. Tech has run the ball a lot more than in recent years, letting the backs do the heavy lifting and leaving Morton to -- gulp -- manage the game. You know what? I'll take a game manager who doesn't turn the ball over on this slate at this price. Sign me up!
Also consider: Quinn Ewers, Texas ($8,700)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Tahj Brooks, Texas Tech ($7,000)
I know that Texas has the fifth-best run defense in the nation, but they haven't faced a back like Brooks. The Longhorns managed to dodge Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon and Central Florida's R.J. Harvey this year. This could be the kind of back that can crack the Texas front seven. Brooks gets a ton of yards after contact and makes defenders miss. He's not going to have a ceiling game here, but Brooks could put up solid numbers in nearly nonexistent ownership.
Noah Carter, Michigan State ($5,300)
This may seem counterintuitive, but RB is a really tough position on this slate. All six teams excel at stopping the run and the worst one (Texas Tech) gets a team without their starting running back. Texas has used different backs. Oregon and Penn State both use multiple backs, as does Oregon State. This is taking a workhorse at a cheap price and hoping for the best on guaranteed touches. Carter put up serviceable numbers against Ohio State and Nebraska. I trust the output, even though he won't break a slate anytime soon.
Also consider: Bucky Irving, Oregon ($7,500); CJ Baxter, Texas ($5,500)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Tez Johnson, Oregon ($7,000)
The price difference between Troy Franklin and Johnson is still significant ($1,200). Significant enough that I'll take the lower floor and a ceiling that's about as high. Franklin has been an absolute beast and there are less than a half-dozen corners that can cover him one-on-one. That means lots of coverage moving away from Johnson.
Silas Bolden, Oregon State ($6,100)
Bolden's speed has been a problem for many good defensive teams. Even Washington lost track of him a couple of times. He's the kind of guy that changes the big games. Look what he did against Utah. I'm trusting Oregon State to turn Bolden loose when the weather isn't supposed to be as nasty as last week.
Maliq Carr, Michigan State ($3,600)
Katin Houser found a guy he could trust in Carr, the junior tight end. In a game where Penn State will get after Houser and take away any deep play, Carr is going to need to come up big for his quarterback. Win or lose, I think he does.
Also consider: Troy Franklin, Oregon ($8,200); Xavier Worthy, Texas ($6,200); Myles Price, Texas Tech ($5,400); Montorie Foster, Michigan State ($4,100)
DraftKings CFB Stacks:
Texas Tech
I am taking an unconventional approach in a slate loaded with tougher matchups and two rivalry games. Tech is my favorite stack not because I think they're going to win, but because I think they offer more potential for their price point, allowing me to get my favorite pieces of other teams. Morton is really cheap as a quarterback. Brooks is expensive, but his workload is guaranteed. Tech spread the ball around a lot to the receivers. A cheaper piece like Drae McCray, who has double figures in two of the past three games, is a way to dodge ownership in large-field GPPs.
Also consider: Oregon
