DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Lineup Picks for 3/5/21 - Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

We have a big five-game EuroLeague slate to close out a two-round week! Hopefully EuroLeague has been better to you this week than the NBA, and hopefully I've had something to do with that. I fared pretty well yesterday even though the two value "locks" weren't nearly as good as I had hoped. Still, if you pay up for the right stars, you'll still get your money back and a little bit of someone else's.

Milan and Piraeus are going to be more short-handed than most today. As for big-name injuries, Jayson Granger is still out for Berlin and Devin Booker is still having issues with traveling about the world after his trip to the U.S. I would guess that Booker will be out again even though he's still listed as questionable. This opens up some value on this slate and we're going to need it.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy EuroLeague lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/5/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Guards

Alexey Shved, Khimki ($13,400)

Yes, we are at the point of the season where if you fade Shved, you hate money. Shved, despite three matchups against the top half of the league against guards, has a low water mark of 37.5 DraftKings points since missing almost a month because of team COVID issues and a personal back issue. He has cleared 50 in two of those games. I wouldn't expect that here against Berlin, but with Booker still out, Shved is taking on even more of the scoring load. We simply can't fade him at this point. That's why we're going to need the value.

Jordan Loyd, Belgrade ($9,700)

Red Star is getting back to full strength now, so Loyd isn't as much of a sure thing as he was a week ago. Still, this is a superb matchup against a Piraeus team that has allowed more fantasy points to guards than anyone not named Khimki. Loyd went for 29 DraftKings points in the first meeting. He was a bit slow coming back from a five-round COVID absence, but Loyd re-established himself well in February. He had at least 25 DraftKings points in every game that he played last month. It's safe to use him again.

Peyton Siva, Berlin ($7,400)

You have to have some stones to play a guy that is just 1-20 from the field over the last three games, but the way to attack Khimki is with shooters. Maodo Lo isn't much of a shooter. Siva put up 31 DraftKings points on Khimki the first time around. If he's ever going to pull out of this awful slump, it should be here and it will come at a massive discount. I still can't condone Siva in cash games, but he is exactly what you are looking for in GPP formats. With Jayson Granger out, Siva is going to have to provide the scoring or Berlin will be run off the court.

Also consider: Luca Vildoza, Vitoria-Gasteiz ($10,000); Sergio Rodriguez, Milan ($8,500); Ognjen Dobric, Belgrade ($6,700)

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Forwards

Jordan Mickey, Khimki ($11,100)

Mickey has been a force with Booker still having visa issues returning from the EuroLeague break. He has 110.5 DraftKings points in the three games since the league's hiatus. With Booker's outlook looking bleak for this round as well, Mickey is poised for another big game against a bottom-four team against forwards this season. Booker had a bigger game against Berlin the first time around. Now most of that production will fall to Mickey. I don't normally condone a Khimki stack, but this is a great matchup and the team is coming off their first EuroLeague win in three months. Ride the wave while it lasts!

Simone Fontecchio, Berlin ($8,800)

As good as this matchup is for Khimki, it's even better for Berlin. Khimki has allowed the most fantasy points to BOTH forwards and guards. Ben Lammers, Luke Sikma, and Fontecchio combined for 95.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Khimki. They are all close enough in price that you can pick whichever one you like. Sikma had nearly half of those in the first meeting and still has the higher ceiling, but Fontecchio has been by far the most consistent Berlin player since the break. He's the cheapest of the three as well. This just feels like a Fontecchio spot to me.

Dejan Davidovac, Belgrade ($6,500)

Red Star is really thin up front with Johnny O'bryant, Landry Nnoko, and Duop Reath all out again. Davidovac and Marko Simonovic have both picked up a lot more minutes of late. If you need to go really cheap, Simonovic is an acceptable punt. However, Davidovac is much more involved in the offense. Ognjen Kuzmic and Marko Jagodic-Kuritzda have picked up minutes as well, but Davidovac is easily the safest option if price isn't an issue. If it is an issue, it's really hard to pass on the minutes Simonovic plays at that price.

Also consider: Nikola Mirotic, Barcelona ($9,900); David Lighty, Villeurbanne ($8,300); Sergey Karasev, Khimki ($5,400)
