DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (5/14/18): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on May 14, 2018. Jake Finnen's NBA DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

*pew pew*

It's Showdown time. One game slates jam-packed with points and value. You need to hit every pick in order to cash out because there will be so many similar lineups going around. PICK THE SUPERSTARS. You absolutely must pick James Harden, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Chris Paul might have a great game but not in terms of the box score, simply because this is the game where Harden usually sets a precedent. With the amount of hype that has been surrounding this very series all season, I am actually worried Harden might flounder while the Warriors absolutely run away with this one. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are my favorite picks of the night, but just know you are going to have to find some serious value. Luckily, I did the work for you.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/14/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Steph Curry - PG/SG, @ HOU ($12,600)

Just play Steph Curry. I don't need to write much more but when Curry has confidence, make the pick, step back, and watch him do his thing. When Curry locks in on defense, which he knows he has too, it boosts his already boosted offense. I'd be surprised if he scores less 30 tonight.

Chris Paul - PG, vs. GSW (11,800)

If you are convinced on Curry, you have to go with Chris Paul. James Harden tends to be a bit sketchy when it comes to production and games mattering, so while I'm confident he'll go off tonight, I'm also confident Paul will be making sure Harden get's going. His price isn't that cheap but you have to take that top producers tonight which will be the four best players in the game.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Luc Mbah A Moute - SF/PF, vs. GSW ($2,900)

As one of the better defenders on the Rockets, Luc Mbah A Moute will get plenty of run and actually be taking his fair share of shots. In the two games he played against the Warriors this season, although I'm certain both teams didn't show their hands during the regular season, Mbah A Moute scored 14 points in both games he played. With a pricec below $3,000, 14 points is more than you can ask for. If he puts up a similar performence he'll be one of the top sleeper picks tonight.

David West - PF/C, @ HOU ($2,300)

David West usually thrives in a game with a slower pace but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets run at center when the Warriors go small. You have to like the price and his consistency when he gets minutes, but tonight is going to be a toss up. This has been the most anticipated series of the season and you can be sure that the veterans have been preparing. West will get minutes but depending on how well he is shooting, his minutes will be all over the place. He usually doesn't get more than 20 minutes a night as it is, so this pick is easily one of the riskier picks today.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Ryan Anderson - PF/C, vs. GSW ($1,600)

This is the absolute cheapest you can go tonight without sacrificing too much. This is the series where Ryan Anderson will shine and if you feel like Joe Johnson will be the guy to come out of nowhere be my guest in rostering him, but seeing how he's struggles to mesh thus far, I don't have much confidence in that pick. Both teams have put more attention into their defensive foundation so don't be surprised if Anderson does more spacing than scoring. His price doesn't really hurt you if he doesn't manage to hit a few threes but he's been sitting on the bench for an entire series and you can bet they feed him early.
