The NBA schedule has nine games on the main slate for Monday night. You'll have a plethora of players to choose from and matchups to target. Four matchups have a point total of 240 or higher. One matchup you'll definitely want exposure to is the Chicago Bulls versus the Memphis Grizzlies. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate when assembling lineups.
First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays that are critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.
This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 4/12/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards
Luka Doncic - PG/SF, DAL vs PHI ($10,700)
Doncic scored 29 points, accumulated seven assists, three rebounds, and a steal in 35 minutes against the Spurs last night. This was his 12th consecutive game without a double-double. Doncic leads all players with a 36% Usage Rate. This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Doncic is in a very good position against the 76ers to deliver one of the jaw-dropping statistical lines DFS players were accustomed to earlier this season.
Zach LaVine - SG, CHI vs MEM ($8,700)
LaVine scored 30 points, amassed seven rebounds and six assists last night against the Timberwolves. This was a great performance from him coming off of a 50-point game against the Hawks last Friday night. LaVine has scored 51 or more DraftKings fantasy points in three consecutive games. He has a Usage Rate of 31.2% this season. LaVine should be able to continue his positive momentum against the Grizzlies on Monday night.
Ja Morant - PG, MEM vs CHI ($6,800)
Morant scored 23 points, stockpiled six assists, two steals, and two rebounds in 35 minutes Sunday night against the Pacers. He has played 35 or more minutes in two consecutive games, and Morant's has scored 36.5 or more DraftKings fantasy points in each game. The Bulls have allowed nearly 49 fantasy points per game to point guards this season.
Bonus Guards: Stephen Curry ($10,300), Devin Booker ($9,000), Chris Paul ($8,400), Anthony Edwards ($7,500)

DraftKings DFS Forwards
Julius Randle - PF, NY vs LAL ($9,600)
Randle scored 26 points, collected eight rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes last night against the Raptors. He is the Knicks go-to player and is capable of contributing across multiple statistical categories. The only other power forwards with a higher Usage Rate than Randle (28.4%) are Zion Williamson (30%) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (33%). Randle has one of the highest ceilings of any forward on tonight's slate.
Brandon Ingram - SF, NO vs SAC ($8,500)
Ingram registered 27 points, racked up eight assists, four rebounds, and one steal in 35 minutes against the Cavaliers last night. He has struggled over the previous four games averaging 36 minutes, 18.5 points, four rebounds, 4.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game. Ingram faces a Kings team that has allowed the 13th most DraftKings fantasy points per game to small forwards.
RJ Barrett - SF, NY vs LAL ($6,400)
Barrett scored 19 points, garnered five assists, two steals, and a rebound in 33 minutes last night against the Raptors. This was his third consecutive game with 32 or more DraftKings fantasy points. Barrett's field goal percentage (61.5%) has been solid over that time frame. He has one of the higher ceilings at the forward position on tonight's slate against the Lakers.
Bonus Forwards: DeMar DeRozan ($7,800), Michael Porter Jr. ($7,000), Draymond Green ($6,700), Thaddeus Young ($5,900)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Nikola Jokic - C, DEN vs GS ($10,400)
Jokic scored 17 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, a steal, and a blocked shot in 32 minutes against the Celtics last Sunday night. This was his second consecutive triple-double. Jokic has the fourth-highest Usage Rate (29.3%) and second-highest Player Efficiency Rating (28.2) among centers. Player Efficiency Rating sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments, and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Jokic's fantasy profile provides him with the highest ceiling of any player on the slate.
Nikola Vucevic - C, CHI vs MEM ($9,100)
Vucevic scored 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three blocks last Sunday against the Timberwolves. He only played 27 minutes which happened to be his third-lowest total of the season. It is worth mentioning that the Bulls had nine players see 19 or more minutes against Minnesota. Vucevic should bounce back nicely against the Grizzlies tonight. Memphis has allowed the 10th most DraftKings fantasy points per game to centers this season.
Bonus Centers: Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,500), Jonas Valanciunas ($7,300), Jakob Poeltl ($6,000)
