The NBA schedule has three games on the main slate for Sunday night. Only one has an implied point total of 230 or more. The Atlanta Hawks versus the Denver Nuggets is one you'll definitely want exposure to. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate when assembling lineups.
First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays that are critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.
This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 3/28/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards
Trae Young - PG, ATL vs DEN ($8,900)
Young scored 21 points, accumulated 15 assists and three rebounds in 36 minutes against the Warriors last Friday. The only other point guard with a higher Usage Rate than Young (32.7%) is Luka Doncic (36.1%). This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Young is averaging 9.5 assists per game. He has the highest ceiling of any guard on the slate.
Kyle Lowry - PG, TOR vs POR ($7,500)
Lowry was tied to many trade rumors as we approached the deadline, but the 35-year old guard will remain with the Raptors. Last Friday Lowry scored 11 points, amassed five rebounds and six assists in 35 minutes against the Suns. This was his lowest DraftKings fantasy points total since February 8th. Lowry is in an excellent position to bounce back against the Blazers tonight. They've allowed the most fantasy points per game to point guards this season.
Dennis Schroder - PG, LAL vs ORL ($7,100)
Schroder scored 17 points, stockpiled seven assists, five rebounds, four steals, and a blocked shot across 32 minutes last Friday against the Cavaliers. He's stepped up over the last four games for the Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis being out of the lineup. Schroder has averaged 37.2 DraftKings fantasy points per game over that time frame. The Magic has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to point guards this season.
Bonus Guards: Fred VanVleet ($7,800), Jamal Murray ($7,700), Norman Powell ($6,600), Karim Mane ($3,400)

DraftKings DFS Forwards
Pascal Siakam - PF/C, TOR vs POR ($7,600)
Siakam has scored 43 or more DraftKings fantasy points over his last three games. He scored 26 points, racked up 11 rebounds, six assists, one block, and one steal across 38 minutes last Friday against the Suns. Siakam positive momentum should continue against Portland. He has the highest ceiling of any forward on tonight's slate.
Kyle Kuzma - SF/PF, LAL vs ORL ($7,200)
Kuzma only scored four points, garnered eight rebounds and seven assists against the Cavaliers last Friday night. This was disappointing considering he almost had a double-double against the Sixers last Thursday. Kuzma will look to bounce back against the Magic. Orlando has allowed the seventh-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to small forwards this season.
Michael Porter Jr. - SF/PF, DEN vs ATL ($6,800)
Porter scored 25 points, hoarded five rebounds, two assists, and a block across 40 minutes last Friday against the Pelicans. This was his fourth-best scoring output of the season. Porter has averaged 36 DraftKings fantasy points per game over his last 10. This should continue against the Hawks. Porter has emerged as the Nuggets' third scoring option behind Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.
Bonus Forwards: John Collins ($7,300), OG Anunoby ($6,100), Robert Covington ($6,000), Dwayne Bacon ($5,300)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Nikola Jokic - C, DEN vs ATL ($10,400)
Jokic had 37 points, gathered six rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and a block in 41 minutes against the Pelicans last Friday. He was one assist away from his 41st double-double of the season. Jokic has the fourth-highest Usage Rate (29.6%) among centers. He's also ranked second in Player Efficiency Rating. This metric sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Jokic consistently delivers night in and night out with his high salary. He has the highest ceiling of any center on the slate.
Montrezl Harrell - C, LAL vs ORL ($7,400)
Harrell has helped fill the void left by James and Davis. He scored 24 points, assembled 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals across 30 minutes last Friday against the Cavaliers. Harrell has scored 35 or more DraftKings fantasy points in seven out of his last 10 games. He's another nice value on tonight's slate if you don't want to absorb Jokic's salary into your DFS lineup.
Bonus Centers: Clint Capela ($7,500), Enes Kanter ($6,700), Mo Bamba ($4,800)
