The NBA schedule has six games on the main slate for Sunday night. Five have an implied point total of 230 or more. One game you'll definitely want exposure is the Dallas Mavericks versus the Portland Trailblazers. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate when assembling lineups.
First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays that are critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.
This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 3/21/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards
Damian Lillard - PG, POR vs DAL ($10,500)
Lillard scored 31 points, accumulated six assists, and three rebounds against the Mavericks last Friday. The veteran point guard and C.J. McCollum eviscerated Dallas. Lillard has the fifth-highest Usage Rate (33%) among all NBA players. This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Lillard (31) also has the seventh-highest Player Efficiency Rating. This metric sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments, and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Lillard is less expensive than Luka Doncic or James Harden and has a similar ceiling.
McCollum has emerged as the Blazers' second scoring option behind Lillard. He scored 32 points, stockpiled four rebounds and four assists across 28 minutes last Friday against the Mavericks. McCollum is starting to return to form post-foot injury and should continue to see a steady increase in minutes. He's averaged 42.4 DraftKings fantasy points per game in the nine games McCollum's has played 34 or more minutes.
Sexton scored 29 points, amassed five rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes last Friday against the Spurs. He's averaged 25.6 points, 4.1 assists, three rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game over the last 15 games. Sexton has a Usage Rate of 29% this season. He faces a Raptors team that has allowed the fifth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to shooting guards.
Bonus Guards: Bradley Beal ($9,300), Zach LaVine ($8,500), Chris Paul ($7,400), Shake Milton ($5,300)

DraftKings DFS Forwards
Tobias Harris - PF, PHI vs NY ($8,600)
Harris produced 29 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and two steals in 30 minutes against the Kings last Saturday night. He shouldered the offensive weight of the 76ers with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons out of the lineup. Harris has averaged 25.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and one block per game over Philadelphia's last four games. He has the highest ceiling of any forward on the slate.
Kristaps Porzingis - PF/C, DAL vs POR ($7,700)
Porzingis only scored 11 points, garnered eight rebounds, one assist, and two blocks against the Blazers last Friday night. He's only averaged 29 DraftKings fantasy points per game over his last three. Porzingis (27%) has the fifth-highest Usage Rate among power forwards. Given his statistical body of work over the last eight games, Porzingis will bounce back sooner rather than later and is a nice value on tonight's slate.
Jerami Grant - SF/PF, DET vs CHI ($7,300)
Bonus Forwards: Pascal Siakam ($7,200), Thaddeus Young ($6,400), Furkan Korkmaz ($4,700)

Mason Plumlee - C, DET vs CHI ($5,800)
Plumlee scored six points, hoarded 16 rebounds, one assist, and one block last Friday against the Rockets. He continues to provide DFS players with solid all-around numbers. Plumlee is averaging a career-high 3.8 assists per game. The Bulls have allowed the fifth-most DraftKings fantasy points to centers this season.
Bonus Centers: Enes Kanter ($6,600), Dwight Howard ($6,100), Deandre Ayton ($6,000)
