Happy Valentine's Day! The NBA schedule has nine games on the main slate for Sunday night as many sports fans will be watching the Daytona 500 during the afternoon. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate.
First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays that are critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.
This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 2/14/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards
Damian Lillard - PG, POR vs. DAL ($9,600)
Lillard scored 20 points, accumulated nine assists, three rebounds and one steal over 30 minutes last Friday against the Cavaliers. He's struggled from the field over the last five games with a field goal percentage of 40.2%. Lillard has the ninth highest Usage Rate (31.4%) among all players. This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Lillard was more efficient from the field last Friday. He has one of the highest ceilings of any player on Sunday's slate.
LaMelo Ball - PG, CHA vs. SA ($8,700)
Ball scored 20 points, accumulated 11 rebounds, four assists, and three steals over 37 minutes in the Hornets game against the Timberwolves last Friday. He's been in the starting lineup over Charlotte's last seven games and has thrived. Ball has averaged 33.6 minutes, 21.4 points, six rebounds, six assists, 1.6 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 42.3 DraftKings fantasy points per game over that time frame. The Spurs have allowed the fifth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to point guards this season.
Tyrese Haliburton - PG/SG, SAC vs. MEM ($6,600)
De'Aaron Fox was held out of last Friday's game due to a left knee contusion and is questionable for today's game. Haliburton has been one of the best rookies in the NBA and very productive off the bench. He was in the starting lineup last Friday and scored 14 points, accumulated three rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in 27 minutes. Haliburton is well-positioned to exceed his salary expectations.
Bonus Guards: LeBron James ($10,200), Devin Booker ($8,200), Collin Sexton ($6,700)

DraftKings DFS Forwards
Kawhi Leonard - SF, LAC vs CLE ($9,700)
Leonard was magnificent last Friday night against the Bulls. The veteran small forward scored 33 points, accumulated six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Paul George is dealing with a toe injury and not expected to return until Monday. Leonard has averaged 35.5 minutes, 29.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game over the last four games. Leonard has scored 49 or more DraftKings fantasy points in three out of those four games. He faces a Cavaliers team that has allowed the sixth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to small forwards this season.
Pascal Siakam - PF/C, TOR vs MIN ($7,900)
Siakam scored 23 points, accumulated four rebounds, two assists, and one steals over 35 minutes against the Celtics last Thursday. He has the 14th highest Usage Rate (21.7%) among power forwards this season. Siakam's ability to contribute in numerous statistical areas provides him a high floor and ceiling. The Timberwolves have allowed the third-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to all positions.
Terrence Ross - SG/SF, ORL vs PHO ($6,100)
Ross has thrived as the Magic's sixth man all season. He's had some additional opportunities lately due to numerous players missing time. Ross scored 18 points, accumulated five rebounds, four assists, and a block in 33 minutes against the Kings last Friday night. It's worth noting that he's more of a scorer and doesn't contribute much to other statistical areas, but Ross is a nice value at his salary.
Bonus Forwards: Kristaps Porzingis ($8,500), Khris Middleton ($7,800), Gordon Hayward ($7,500), Harrison Barnes ($6.700)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Nikola Vucevic - C, ORL vs PHO ($9,800)
Vucevic scored 42 points, accumulated nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals against the Kings on Friday. He's on pace for a career season and has the fourth-highest Usage Rate (29%) among centers. Vucevic has scored 50 or more DraftKings fantasy points in five out of his last six games. He has one of the highest ceilings on the slate and a slightly less expensive option than Nikola Jokic.
Andre Drummond - C, CLE vs LAC ($7,700)
Drummond's statistical production hasn't been great over the last two games. He's been impacted by game flow and has only played 33 total minutes over the last two games. The Cavaliers should be more competitive in upcoming games which will allow Drummond's minutes to rise. He has the second-highest Usage Rate (31.3%) among centers. Drummond will bounce back sooner rather than later. He's a nice option at his current salary.
Bonus Centers: Deandre Ayton ($7,100), Al Horford ($6,900),
