The NBA schedule has 10 games on the main slate for Monday. You'll have a plethora of players to choose from. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate.
First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays which is critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.
This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 2/1/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards
Luka Doncic - PG, DAL vs. PHO ($10,800)
Doncic continues to be a fantasy dynamo, but the Mavericks aren't winning games. He scored 29 points, accumulated eight rebounds, and seven assists in 33 minutes last Saturday against the Suns. Doncic continues to lead all players in the Usage Rate (36%) and Player Efficiency Rating (31) metrics. Usage Rate is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Player Efficiency Rating sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments, and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Doncic is well worth his salary given his ceiling.
Chris Paul - PG, PHO vs DAL ($8,200)
Paul has been productive with Devin Booker out of the lineup due to a hamstring injury. He's averaged 35.6 minutes, 21.2 points, five rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals per game over his last five. Paul has scored 40 or more DraftKings fantasy points in three out of five games. He's a nice value at the point guard position.
John Wall - PG, HOU vs OKC ($6,900)
Wall has averaged 16.5 points, seven assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game over his last four games. He's scored 35 or more DraftKings fantasy points in three out of four games. Wall's Usage Rate this season is 27.5% and he's another nice value on tonight's slate.
Bonus Guards: Zach LaVine ($9,000), Jrue Holiday ($7,700), Malik Beasley ($6,700), LaMelo Ball ($6,500)

DraftKings DFS Forwards
LeBron James - PG/SF, LAL vs ATL ($10,200)
James has averaged 26.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game over his last 10 games. He has the highest Usage Rate (32.2%) this season among small forwards this season. The Hawks have been eviscerated by point guards this season. Atlanta has allowed the fourth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to the position.
Khris Middleton - SF, MIL vs POR ($8,500)
Middleton had an off game last Saturday against the Hornets. He had 18 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Middleton's nine field-goal attempts were a season-low. He's averaged 43 DraftKings fantasy points over his previous four games. Middleton's Player Efficiency Rating (26) is the fifth-highest among small forwards. He's in a very good position to bounce back against the Blazers.
DeMar DeRozan - SF/PF, SA vs MEM ($7,000)
DeRozan's fantasy success is determined by his scoring. He doesn't contribute in the areas of rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. The good news is that DeRozan faces a Grizzlies defense that has allowed the second-most DraftKings fantasy points per game this season. He's in a great position to outperform his salary.
Bonus Forwards: Gordon Hayward ($7,500), John Collins ($7,300), Brandon Clarke ($6,200), Harrison Barnes ($6,000)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Nikola Jokic - C, DEN vs DET ($10,900)
Jokic tied his career-high with 47 points yesterday against the Jazz. He also accumulated 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block. Jokic has the third-highest Usage Rate (30%) and the second-highest Player Efficiency Rating (35.3) among centers. The Pistons have allowed the fourth-most DraftKings fantasy points to centers this season. Jokic is well worth the investment at his salary.
Bam Adebayo - C, MIA vs CHA ($9,400)
Adebayo's biggest asset is his ability to contribute in multiple statistical areas. Last Saturday he scored 18 points, accumulated 13 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block in 36 minutes. Did you know that Adebayo had a double-double seven times during the month of January?
Bonus Centers: Andre Drummond ($8,600), Enes Kanter ($7,200)
