The NBA schedule has 10 games on the main slate for Sunday. Only two have an implied point total of 230 or more. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate.
First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays which is critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.
This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 1/25/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards
Stephen Curry - PG, GS vs. MIN ($9,200)
Curry has averaged 34.5 minutes, 26.3 points, six rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over the last eight games. He has a Usage Rate of 32.4% and a Player Efficiency Rating of 28.8. Usage Rate is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Player Efficiency Rating sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments, and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Curry faces a Timberwolves defense that has allowed eight most DraftKings fantasy points to point guards this season.
Malcolm Brogdon - PG, IND vs. TOR ($8,500)
Brogdon scored 12 points, accumulated five assists, five rebounds, a steal, and a blocked shot in 38 minutes against the Raptors yesterday. He should continue to see a high Usage Rate and provide you with a solid return on investment.
Terry Rozier - PG/SG, CHA vs. ORL ($6,800)
Rozier is in the midst of a shooting slump. His field goal percentage over the last three games is 36.6%. Yesterday he scored seven points, accumulated seven rebounds, four assists, and one steal. The good news is that Rozier is still seeing a heavy dose of minutes on a per-game basis. He faces an Orlando defense that has allowed the fifth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to point guards this season.
Bonus Guards: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($8,100), Fred Vanvleet ($7,900), Collin Sexton ($7,100), and Dejounte Murray ($6,500).

DraftKings DFS Forwards
Jaylen Brown - SG/SF, BOS vs. CHI ($8,500)
Brown went nuclear yesterday against the Cavaliers. He scored 33 points, accumulated three rebounds, an assist, and two steals in 19 minutes. Did you know that he's scored 20 or more points in seven consecutive games? Brown faces a Bulls defense that has the eighth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game this season.
Gordon Hayward - SF/PF, CHA vs. ORL ($7,300)
Hayward finished yesterday's game against the Magic with 39 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block. His $120 million contract implies that he will continue to see a high Usage Rate. Hayward has averaged 35 minutes, 28.5 points, six rebounds, 2.3 assists, one steal, and 0.5 blocks per game over his last four. Orlando has allowed the seventh-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to small forwards.
Michael Porter Jr. - SF/PF, DEN vs. DAL ($6,600)
Last Saturday Porter scored 14 points, 11 rebounds, one steal, and one block against the Suns last Saturday. He missed 10 games during the month of January and returned on January 22nd. Porter should find himself back in the starting lineup sooner rather than later. The Mavericks rank in the top-10 in DraftKings fantasy points allowed to forwards.
Bonus Forwards: Brandon Ingram ($8,000), Jerami Grant ($7,800), LaMarcus Aldridge ($6,700), and Draymond Green ($5,200)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Nikola Vucevic - C, ORL vs. CHA ($8,700)
Vucevic scored 22 points, accumulated 13 rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes against the Hornets yesterday. He can be depended on once again as the Magic's number one option. Vucevic is a double-double machine. Were you aware that he's led the team in points and rebounds in 47% of the games this season?
Bam Adebayo - C, MIA vs. BRN ($8,500)
Adebayo went boom last Saturday against the Nets. He scored 41 points, accumulated nine assists, five rebounds, and a steal in 38 minutes. Adebayo (28.4) has the fifth-highest Player Efficiency Rating among centers. He should continue to thrive while Jimmy Butler awaits to clear the NBA's health and safety protocol. The Nets have allowed the second-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to centers this season.
Bonus Centers: Andre Drummond ($8,800) and Enes Kanter ($6,600)
