The NBA schedule has five games on the main slate for Sunday. Only two have an implied point total of 230 or more. One game you will want to have exposure to is between the Bucks and Hawks. This game has an implied point total of 232.3. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate.
First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays which is critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.
This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 1/24/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards
Trae Young - PG, ATL vs. MIL ($9,400)
Young torched the Timberwolves last Friday night. He scored 43 points, accumulated five boards, and five assists in just 31 minutes of action. Young has the second-highest Usage Rate (33%) among point guards this season. This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Young is questionable to play against the Bucks today due to back spasms. If he's unavailable then Rajon Rondo will benefit. It is worth noting that the Hawks could be without De'Andre Hunter. Danilo Gallinari and Cam Reddish are also on minutes restrictions. As a result, Kevin Huerter is also another viable option.
Jrue Holiday - PG, MIL vs. ATL ($7,300)
Last Thursday Holiday scored 22 points, accumulated seven assists, five rebounds, and one steal in 39 minutes against the Lakers. He's averaged 39 DraftKings fantasy points per game over his last four games. Holiday has the 13th highest Player Efficiency Rating (23) among point guards. This metric sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Holiday has one of the highest ceilings of any point guard on the main slate.
Kemba Walker - PG, BOS vs. CLE ($6,300)
Walker's been productive over the last three games since his season debut on January 17th. He's averaged 23.7 minutes, 15.7 points, 2.7 rebounds five assists, and two steals per game. Walker has two consecutive games with 31 or more DraftKings fantasy points. His consistency remains a concern, but Walker's a nice value on tonight's main slate.
Bonus Guards: Jaylen Brown ($8,600), Marcus Smart ($6,100), and RJ Barrett ($6,800)

DraftKings DFS Forwards
Jaylen Brown - SG/SF, BOS vs. CLE ($8,600)
Brown scored 42 points, accumulated nine rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal against the Sixers last Friday setting several career highs. He should still see a high Usage Rate with Jayson Tatum still out due to COVID-19 and Walker seeing limited minutes.
Khris Middleton - SF, MIL vs. ATL ($7,800)
Last Thursday Middleton scored 20 points, accumulated seven assists and five rebounds in 36 minutes against the Lakers. He has a Usage Rate of 25% this season and remains the No. 2 option for the Bucks. Middleton has scored 40 or more DraftKing fantasy points in nine games this season. He's a great alternative if you don't want to pay up for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
LaMarcus Aldridge - PF/C, SA vs. WAS ($6,000)
Aldridge's statistical production has been up and down lately. He scored 26 points, accumulated nine rebounds, two assists, and one block in 30 minutes on Friday against the Mavericks. Aldridge has a floor of around 30 DraftKing fantasy points with a ceiling of 50. He's another nice value on the slate.
Bonus Forwards: Gordon Hayward ($7,500), John Collins ($7,000), and Robert Covington ($5,100)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Nikola Vucevic - C, ORL vs. CHA ($9,100)
Vucevic has struggled from the field over the last two games shooting only 37.5%. Last Friday he scored 24 points, accumulated 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 41 minutes against the Pacers. Vucevic has the fourth-highest Usage Rate (27.7%) and Player Efficiency Rating (29.5) among centers this season. He's in a very good spot to go boom against a Hornets team allowing the 13th most DraftKings fantasy point to centers. Did you know that Vucevic has a double-double in 11 out of 16 games this season?
Enes Kanter - C, POR vs. NY ($6,200)
Kanter will continue to benefit as the starting center with Jusuf Nurkic out due to a fractured wrist. He's averaged 10.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and 2.5 blocks per game over the last two games as the starter. The Knicks have allowed the 10th most DraftKings fantasy points per game to centers.
Bonus Centers: Clint Capela ($8,500) and Brook Lopez ($5,400)
