We return to the big slate for Friday night. There are nine games, which feature a few elite options to go along with quite a few mid-priced and value plays. It should be easy to construct any type of lineup you'd like on this slate because of the amount of available players.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/30/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. DraftKings DFS Guards
Giannis Antetokounmpo – PG, at MIN ($9,700)
Antetokounmpo’s price tag has been dropping recently, but for no real reason. He has been playing extremely well, as he’s averaging 27.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game over the last 10 days. He has been the focal point of the Bucks offense the entire season, and he gets a matchup against the Wolves tonight. While this matchup is less than ideal, Antetokounmpo has the ability to dominate anyone in the NBA. He can be used in all leagues tonight.
Dennis Schroder – PG, vs DET ($6,600)
Schroder has been playing well recently, although he does come with a bit of risk. The Hawks seem to get blown out on random nights, which limits Schroder’s minutes on occasion, but more often than not, he’s locked into big games. He has scored at least 35 fantasy points in seven of his last 10 games, including four games with more than 40 fantasy points. He gets a tough matchup against the Pistons tonight, but Schroder is a bit too cheap. He can be used in all leagues tonight.
Langston Galloway – PG, vs NY ($3,000)
It’s tough to trust someone like Galloway because he isn’t guaranteed minutes on a nightly basis. He has played at least 25 minutes in each of his last three games, though, and he was able to score 21.5, 24.0, and 15.25 fantasy points in those games. He’s a good scorer, and he has the ability to hit up on any given night. He comes with great upside for his low price tag, and he should have no problems hitting value if he plays 25 or more minutes. That’s far from a lock, though, and Galloway is best suited as a salary relief option in tournaments.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Anthony Davis – PF/C, vs NY ($10,500)
Anthony Davis has really struggled in a few games recently, but he has still displayed the upside everyone is looking for. He’s a player that can contribute in each of the five categories, and he’s the focal point of the Pelicans offense. He gets a matchup against the Bulls, who have struggled against big men this season. Davis is also averaging 16.4 more fantasy points per game at home this season in only 3.3 more minutes. He’s an elite option on this slate, especially for his decreased price tag.
Otto Porter – SF/PF, vs BKN ($6,100)
Porter is far from a consistent player, but he does come with elite upside. He can score in multiple categories, and he’s averaging 19.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game over the last 10 days. He has also been a better player at home this season, and he gets an elite matchup against the Nets, who have one of the worst defenses in the NBA this season. He should be locked into big minutes tonight, and he’s an elite tournament option on this slate.
Jon Leuer – PF, at ATL ($4,800)
Leuer hasn’t benefitted from moving into the starting lineup thus far, but that is bound to change. He’s locked into big minutes, and Leuer has been a solid player this season. He’s averaging 24.6 fantasy points in 28 minutes per game over the last 10 days, which is close to value at his current price tag. He’s an option that comes with both a high floor and a high ceiling. He can be used in all leagues at power forward tonight.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Brook Lopez – C, at WAS ($6,800)
Lopez’s price tag is far too low tonight, as he’s averaging 24.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game over the last 10 days. He has scored at least 40 fantasy points in five of his last six games, and he also comes with elite upside. He gets a great matchup against the Wizards, who love pushing the pace in games, and Lopez should have plenty of opportunities to score fantasy points tonight. He is the focal point of the Nets offense, and he can safely be used in all leagues tonight.
Pau Gasol – C, vs POR ($6,100)
Gasol got “Pop’ed” on Christmas, but he has been on fire besides that game. He has scored 30 or more fantasy points in six of his last seven games, including a huge 50.25 fantasy point performance against the Celtics. He’s a player that comes with elite upside and solid consistency but doesn’t a ton of minutes. He’s only averaging 27 minutes per game over the last 10 days, but he’s averaging 33.1 fantasy points in that time. He gets a great matchup against a fast paced Blazers team, and Gasol has been playing well enough for all leagues tonight.
