10 games make up Wednesday night's intriguing slate. There are plenty of injuries to take note of as well. In such a heavy slate, it might be wise to draft a team packed with $6,000 to $8,000 players, instead of emptying your bank account on Russell Westbrook. This could ensure a more well-rounded team and a likely cash.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/30/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. DraftKings DFS Guards
Rajon Rondo - PG, vs LAL ($6,500)
I think it has become pretty obvious that the obvious play at point guard every time he laces up is Russell Westbrook. While no other point guard is capable of putting up the fantasy points he does on a consistent basis, Westy also sits at an insane $12,600. Drafting him potentially compromises the rest of your squad, so tonight, on a slate with a lot of games, I'm going to suggest a couple mid-range guys at the one-spot.
Rondo has been more than productive of late and has proved that he doesn't need to put the ball in the hoop to be an affective fantasy asset. His scoring has certainly declined, now in a backcourt alongside Jimmy Butler, but he's averaging over six rebounds and seven assists per game.
Derrick Rose - PG, @ MIN ($6,500)
Derrick Rose has been recently showing signs of the player once considered among the best in the league when he rocked a Chicago Bulls uniform. Rose, sitting at the same price as the aforementioned Rondo, is coming off a 30 point performance, has produced for double-digits in seven straight, and has posted two straight 40-plus fantasy point showings. Facing a Minnesota Timberwolves squad that ranks fourth to last in defending point guards for fantasy scoring, Rose should continue his efficiency Wednesday night.
Jordan Clarkson - PG/SG, @ CHI ($6,500)
As long as D'Angelo Russell continues to miss action, I'm going to suggest drafting Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson is arguably the team's best scoring option, and has been the most consistent in the early going. The Lakers will likely also be without Julius Randle as they head to Chicago for what should be a fast-paced matchup against the Bulls.
Clarkson is not a guaranteed stat-stuffer considering his lack of rebounds and assists per game, but he has been a steady steals contributor, and has a tendency to occasional put up multiple attempts from behind the arc. He's an affordable option that should be used in both tournaments and head-to-head formats.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Troy Williams - SF, @ TOR ($4,000)
It was recently announced that Mike Conley will be out six to eight weeks with a fracture in his back. Conley, plagued by injuries seemingly his entire career, leaves a Memphis Grizzlies team, who also continuously suffer injuries to their squad, without a ton of real scoring threats.
Troy Williams, the undrafted rookie, is not a scoring threat, but his role could increase against the Toronto Raptors. In his last three contests, Williams has posted 19.0, 25.25, and 20.5 fantasy points; solid at his price. While he'll never blow you away with his stat lines, he has been replacing Troy Daniels in the starting five. Chandler Parsons and James Ennis are also expected to miss an extended amount of time so this is certainly Williams' chance to assert himself into the Grizzlies top unit.
Jarell Martin - PF, @ TOR ($3,100)
Jarell Martin is another player that could see a boost in minutes Wednesday night. Starting power forward, Zach Randolph, has been away from the team for three straight games in the wake of his mother's death. His status is uncertain for the Grizzlies next tilt against the Toronto Raptors.
In Randolph's absence on Monday night, Martin dropped 27.5 fantasy points in 20 minutes, posting a double-double consisting of 11 points and 12 rebounds. He has a tough matchup against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, but sits at a favorable price for his ceiling.
Rudy Gay - SF/PF @ PHI ($6,900)
According to the Sacramento Bee, an X-Ray revealed that DeMarcus Cousins has been playing with a broken middle finger on his shooting hand. It is unclear whether he will suit up against the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday night, especially considering he posted 72.5 fantasy points in 40 minutes in his last contest.
Rudy Gay is a solid play regardless of Cousins' availability, but will see a huge boost in value if his counterpart can't suit up. Although throwing up the occasional dud, Gay has been a trustworthy option on a regular basis. He sits at an appealing price and has an even more appealing matchup against the lowly Sixers.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Hassan Whiteside - C, @ DEN ($8,800)
Now it's time to start spending some money. I'm always a fan of breaking out the big bills at this position, now even more considering Westbrook has been left off this list. Whiteside enters a favorable matchup against a Denver Nuggets squad that has struggled against the center this season.
The Miami Heat have also been plagued by injuries recently, and have heavily relied on their big man for production. Whiteside is coming off two straight double-doubles, including eight over a 10-game span, and should have no trouble doing the same against the Nuggets.
Karl-Anthony Towns - C, vs NYK ($8,300)
The Big KAT will look to put up big numbers against the New York Knicks. The Knicks, despite the acquisition of Joakim Noah in the offseason, haven't faired too well against opposing big men. Towns is averaging 41.5 fantasy points per game, and has been one of the most consistent centers for daily fantasy this season. Although, he hasn't really strung together a series of dominant showings yet in the early going. It will happen sooner rather than later.
