DraftKings DFS Guards
Damian Lillard – PG, @ LAL ($9,00)
Lillard is back from his minor injury and seems to be finding his way back to 100%. In his last two games, he has scored 44 and 37 DraftKings’ points. Those aren’t the numbers he is capable of, but he is in a good spot today to bounce back. Lillard is up against the Lakers who are horrible on defense vs points guards, they are giving up 48 points per game, which is fifth worst in the league. Lillard is expensive at $9,000, but the match up tonight is time for him to get back in the groove.
Bradley Beal – SG, vs CHI ($6,400)
Beal is a great cash game play for tonight vs the Bull. He has been super consistent lately, with three of his last four games at 35 DraftKings points or more. And in those four games, he has scored 22 real points or more in all games. Beal has a decent match up vs the Bulls who are in the middle of pack when it comes to defense vs shooting guards. Beal also has a nice bit of upside as he has hit at least three, three pointers in three of his last four games.
Sean Kilpatrick – SG, vs ATL ($4,800)
Kilpatrick should see some additional playing time tonight with Jeremy Lin already ruled out. Kilpatrick is really only for some salary relief, and doesn’t offer too much consistency. He did have a nice streak at the end of December, but with the extra playing time, hopefully that can translate to above average production for him.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Paul Milsap – PF, @ BKN ($7,800)
Paul Milsap, in my opinion, gets largely over looked when it comes to great big men in the NBA, but this man can ball. He has scored 40 points or more in four of his last five games, with a high of 56 points. He has a high floor, and a high ceiling. And the best part about getting this player as a potential 50 point scorer? You don’t have to pay the premium price for him. At only $7,800, the value is amazing and his matchup vs the Nets who are bottom five in the league vs power forwards, couldn’t be better.
James Johnson – PF, @ GS ($6,000)
Johnson has been playing really well over the past week or so and his salary is about to hit a breaking point. I think this might be one of the last times you can roster him without sacrificing too much. He has scored 34 points or more in four of his last five games. Really, really consistent and is in a spot to do it again tonight. He is up against the Warriors who are giving up 46 points per game to power forwards. Buy in on James Johnson while you can.
Marcus Smart – SF, @ TOR ($5,800)
Smart is set to be in the starting lineup with Avery Bradley already ruled out for tonight’s game vs the Raptors. In his previous game starting, Smart put up 44 points. That is huge for his price and can really boost your cash or GPP roster. For his price, he offers salary relief with a bit of upside. Borderline auto lock for me tonight in all formats.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Julius Randle – C, vs POR ($7,400)
Randle is on a bit of a streak right now, as he has scored 41 points or more in three of his last four, including one game which he had a triple double. Love him for cash games tonight, since you know exactly what you are getting from him. He is up against Portland who are second worst in the league vs centers, giving up a whopping 52 points per game. Randle should 100% hit value for you tonight, and leave you stress free.
Jonas Valanciunas – C, vs BOS ($5,200)
Jonas hasn’t been as consistent or as big of a threat as some thought he would be this year, but he still has some value for DFS. At his price point, he doesn’t need to have a crazy game for him to be worth it. 26 points per game is his average for the year, and if he hits that, you’ll be in good shape. He does have a solid match up tonight he might be able to capitalize on. Up against the Celtics who are giving up 51 points per game to centers. A bit of salary savings on a player who has a favorable match up.
