Worth the Investment

Eric Gordon (SG, NO) - $5800

Eric Gordon makes for a great value option at shooting guard on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks. The New Orleans Pelicans remain without Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday still has not been able to play at 100 percent. This leaves a lot of scoring and ball-handling duties for Gordon. In six games this season, Gordon has averaged 17.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. He also heads into this week with three straight performances of at least 21 points. The sheer amount of minutes as well as field goal attempts Eric Gordon is afforded due to the team's injuries makes him a threat to have a great game any night.

Honorable Mention: John Wall (PG, WAS)

Chris Bosh (PF, MIA) - $7000

Chris Bosh looks to have a great matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, and should be your go-to option at power forward if you cannot roster Anthony Davis. Bosh should have no problem getting into an offensive rhythm, given that the Lakers hold the third worst defense in the league. In seven games this season, he has averaged 16.6 points and 9.7 rebounds. He is shooting nearly 40 percent from the 3-point line, and provides sneaky fantasy points with his ability to contribute in nearly every category. While Hassan Whiteside may look to be the easier big man option to roster on Tuesday, Roy Hibbert's proximity to the hoop as well as his overall length could hinder the young big man in the paint.

Honorable Mention: Greg Monroe (PF, MIL)

Al Jefferson (C, CHA) - $6500

Al Jefferson may not be what he was two years ago, but he still has the capability to dominate his matchup on any given night. Jefferson has averaged 15.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in six games this season. However, we're only taking interest in his one great game against the Dallas Mavericks, where he scored 31 points with 9 rebounds and a block. In that game, Jefferson was able to dominate the weak front court of Zaza Pachulia and Dwight Powell. If you're entering a larger competition pool, buying the Jefferson lottery ticket is the right play. He will face the Minnesota Timberwolves, who don't really have an experienced big man to keep Jefferson in check. The opposing team will have to rely on rookie Karl-Anthony Towns, which should be an extremely difficult task.

Sleeper Pick

Otto Porter Jr. (SF, WAS) - $5100

For all intents and purposes, Otto Porter Jr. already belongs on the list of players who are worth the investment for Tuesday. Porter has been playing great this season, and should be a season-long breakout candidate. Porter gets to enjoy plenty of playing time, and has also displayed a great efficiency from the field. He has averaged 13.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 steals. These numbers should receive a boost if teammate Bradley Beal happens to miss Tuesday's game. Beal has been averaging over 20 points a game himself, and that scoring needs to go somewhere. Porter Jr. becomes a must start in this scenario, as a 30-point performance becomes completely possible for the rising star.
