DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Masahiro Tanaka, NYY (vs. DET) - $9,700
Tanaka gets a comfortable start against one of the worst lineups in baseball in the Tigers. Detroit has just a .289 wOBA versus right-handed pitching this season. Tanaka's 3.58 SIERA suggests that he's been a bit better than his ERA would tell you, and he's got a solid 24.9% K-rate. He should easily get a win with the Yankees lineup supporting him against Daniel Norris. At this price, Tanaka's well-worth the investment.
Jon Gray, COL (@ SD) - $8,800
Gray had an ugly start his last time out, but he should rebound against the Padres. Not only do the Padres have the lowest wOBA against righties at .287, but they've also got the highest K-rate at 25.9%. Not to mention, San Diego is home to one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in the league. Gray and his 26.1% K-rate should flourish in this matchup, and you can get him for relatively cheap.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
C - Salvador Perez, KC (vs. BAL) - $3,900
Assuming he's back in the Royals lineup, Perez is one of the few worthwhile catchers on today's slate. Perez has 23 homers on the year and can easily add to that total against Dylan Bundy, owner of a 5.37 ERA with a 2.18 HR/9. Even if he doesn't homer, Perez can drive in some RBIs out of the Royals three spot.
1B - Joe Mauer, MIN (@ TEX) - $3,900
Mauer isn't your typical first base play, but he can give you a lot of production out of the Twins leadoff spot. Mauer and the Twins are facing Yovani Gallardo, owner of a 6.01 ERA, in an extreme hitter's park in Texas. That means they should score plenty of runs, which Mauer should be involved in.
2B - Jonathan Villar, BAL (@ KC) - $4,200
Villar has been on fire over the last 15 days, swiping seven bags and hitting two dingers. He can do a lot for you batting second for the Orioles against Heath Fillmyer, who has a 5.33 FIP with just a 13.8% K-rate. Consider grabbing Villar and some of his teammates for a stack.
3B - Anthony Rendon, WAS (vs. MIL) - $4,400
Rendon is batting .320 with and .886 OPS over the last 15 days. He's a near-lock for production batting fourth in the Nationals lineup as he rides a 10 game hitting-streak into Saturday's contest. I like him in cash games as a safe investment for a high floor.
SS - Jean Segura, SEA (@ OAK) - $4,300
Segura is expected to return to the lineup on Saturday, where he should bat second or third against Daniel Mengden. Mengden has a 4.74 FIP on the year, so Segura should be on base and able to put up some runs and steals.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Kyle Schwarber, CHC (@ PHI) - $4,300
I think Schwarber will enjoy playing in Citizens Bank Park, one of the best hitter's parks in the league. He's still got a strong 121 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this year and has lots of home run upside, useful in GPP contests.
George Springer, HOU (vs. LAA) - $4,400
Even in a down year, you can't argue with Springer at this price as the leadoff man for one of the top offenses in baseball. Springer will record lots of plate appearances against Felix Pena, who has a 4.52 ERA, so there will be plenty of chances for production.
