DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Lance McCullers Jr. - P, HOU vs. SEA ($8,700)
McCullers is coming off a bounce-back performance against the Giants, where he pitched seven shutout innings of one-hit ball and striking out five. He takes on an ice-cold Mariners' offense that came into Saturday with a .303 wOBA (tied for 22nd) against righties. The M's have only scored eight runs in their last four games, making them an exploitable matchup here.
Adam Plutko - P, CLE @ DET ($6,400)
Plutko is a nice and cheap option to pair with McCullers. In his first start of the season, he pitched four innings, allowing four hits and one earned run, walking one and striking out two. He takes on a Tigers' offense that came into Saturday with a 30.2 K% (30th) and .292 wOBA (tied-25th). We can expect Plutko to go deeper into the game in this one, especially since the team is relying on him more due to the absences of Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Francisco Cervelli - C, MIA vs. ATL ($4,000)
Prior to an 0-4 game on Saturday, Cervelli was swinging a hot bat, going 7-for-27 (.259) with three home runs in his previous eight games. He takes on LHP Robbie Erlin, who has pitched poorly out of the bullpen this season and is not expected to go more than three or four innings. Cervelli is a solid value at catcher given his cheap price and strong matchup.
Jesus Aguilar - 1B, MIA vs. ATL ($4,200)
Aguilar continues his strong start to the season, having hit safely in seven of his last eight games. The former Brewers' slugger has become a fixture at the top of this Marlins' order, so he's another good option to stack against Erlin. Aguilar is finding his sweet spot often so far, posting a 43.5 SweetSpot%, a 9.7 percent increase from last year.
Jean Segura - 2B, PHI vs. NYM ($4,000)
It's always a good idea to stack against RHP Rick Porcello, especially in a bandbox like Citizens Bank Park. Segura is currently on a six-game hitting streak that includes three home runs, so he's swinging a hot bat right now. Despite the hot streak, Segura is ranked tenth among second basemen on DraftKings in price, so he's a nice value to start off our Phillies' stack.
Brian Anderson - 3B, MIA vs. ATL ($4,300)
Anderson remains one of the more underrated hitters in baseball, currently slashing .245/.362/.531 on the season. He's homered twice with three walks in his past four games, so he's seeing the ball well right now. The good thing with Anderson is that he consistently gets on-base, which raises his floor, allowing him to stay productive even when he's not crushing the ball.
Jonathan Villar - SS, MIA vs. ATL ($4,300)
The Marlins' leadoff man completes our stack against Erlin. Villar has hit safely in four consecutive games, including two multi-hit performances and four stolen bases. This is a streaky hitter, so we're going to ride the wave here in an exploitable matchup. Villar is the table-setter in this lineup and I expect him to turn in another good game in this one.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Bryce Harper - OF, PHI vs. NYM ($5,300)
Harper is a chalky play here against Porcello, but the matchup is too good to pass up. He's hit safely in seven straight, including four multi-hit games, two home runs, and two stolen bases. Harper should be the highest priced hitter on the slate, but instead, he's tied for fifth, making him a great value here.
Jay Bruce - OF, PHI vs. NYM ($5,300)
Bruce is the classic platoon player that always makes for an interesting play when he's facing a righty at Citizens Bank Park. He's currently slashing .300/.364/.833 with three home runs against righties this season. Fire him up to complete the Phillies trio of three, six, and seven hitters.
Franmil Reyes - OF, CLE @ DET ($4,200)
The Franimal has found his stroke, going 15-for-37 (.405) with three home runs and 11 RBI in his last ten games. This is a streaky hitter, so it's a good idea to hop on the train whenever he's riding high. He goes up against RHP Michael Fulmer in this one, who is still not stretched out, so he should only go about four innings. Reyes has a good chance at a big game here.
