DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Tyler Skaggs - SP, vs TEX ($9,500)
After a bunch of solid-to-good performances throughout the month of May, Skaggs was a little roughed up in his last two outings. That said, his velocity is fine and it could have been just a string of bad luck for the pitcher who has shown a lot of promise as a reliable DFS pitcher with pretty good strikeout upside. I'm going to trust him to right the ship today in what is a pretty good matchup against a team that is just middle of the pack against southpaws this season and has a 25% strikeout rate. Vegas bettors are backing Skaggs as well, as he and the Angels have moved up to -187 favorites and the Rangers run projection has gone from 3.8 to 3.6.
Also Consider: Blake Snell - SP, at SEA ($11,100); Dereck Rodriguez - SP, vs PHI ($5,000)
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Justin Bour - 1B, at ARI ($3,600)
Bour has big home run potential this afternoon at what is pretty much a bargain bin price. He owns excellent splits over the last 12 months against right-handed pitching with a .413 wOBA and .273 ISO. He also faces a pitcher who hasn't quite figured it out yet and he'll have even better lineup context today because of it.
Jake Lamb - 3B, vs MIA ($4,200)
It's so good to see this kid back healthy and swinging the stick well. The powerful third basemen who provides protection for Paul Goldschmidt and others will have good lineup context today and matches up really well with Dain Straily. Lamb comes in with a 51% hard hit rate in the last 10 games, and also has really good splits, highlighted by his .227 ISO.
Daniel Descalso - 2B/3B, vs MIA ($3,600)
There's a lot of value to be found on this Arizona club and the opposing starter, Dan Straily, is certainly a pitcher we can pick on! That works out well, as the other team you'll want to target outside of the Diamondbacks is the Angels - and they are the opposite of cheap today. Anywho, Descalso has been a nice surprise for this Arizona club, and brings a strong .354 wOBA to the plate today and is batting leadoff.
Also Consider: Starlin Castro - 2B, at ARI ($3,600)
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Mike Trout - OF, vs TEX ($6,000)
Thankfully we have so much value in the infield, because I want every piece of the Angels outfield - most especially Mike Trout. Doug Fister is going to run into a buzzsaw today as Trout and his outfield mates match up really well. They have the loftiest run projection of the slate at 5.0 and Trout brings a .445 wOBA and a .302 ISO to the dish.
Shohei Ohtani - OF, vs TEX ($5,100)
Ohtani has experienced some brutal bad luck on batted balls over the past two weeks, but a date against Doug Fister should help him change course. Ohtani is really strong against right-handed pitching, showcsased by his .475 wOBA and .355 ISO.
Also Consider: Justin Upton - OF, vs TEX ($4,600); Nick Williams - OF, at SFG ($3,200)
