DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Chris Sale - P, BOS @ MIN (DK - $12,700)
Sale went through a bit of a rough stretch but seems to be back in top form. He has 19 strikeouts while only allowing two earned runs over his last two starts, a level of production he should be able to reach tonight. He is facing off against the Twins, who have a 24% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers, which is ninth worst in the league. The Twins also have a team wOBA sitting at .301 vs left-handed pitchers, which truly isn't all that threatening. Love him as a cash game option on tonight's slate.
Mike Soraka - P, ATL @ TOR (DK - $8,900)
Soraka is a very young pitcher for the Braves, who is coming off one of his best starts of the year. In that game, he went 6.1 innings, only had fours strikeouts, but only gave up one hit and one walk. Really strong numbers from a player who can't even buy beer yet. Today, he faces off against the Blue Jays, who have a 23.8% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is ninth worst in the league. He makes a viable SP2 on DraftKings tonight and should be able to limit the damage against this Toronto team who have a modest .318 wOBA vs RHP.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Eric Hosmer - 1B, SD vs OAK (DK - $4,200)
Hosmer has a .377 wOBA and a .195 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers and is now up against Paul Blackburn, who is giving up a .334 wOBA to lefties. Hosmer has hits in five of his last six games, with one double and one home run. Not the best park factor, since this game is in San Diego, but the power upside makes Hosmer a good one off in GPPs.
DJ LeMahieu - 2B, COL vs NYM (DK - $4,900)
LeMahieu is one of the hitters you absolutely want to be rostering tonight, not only due to the Rockies being at home, but they are also facing a very bad pitcher. The said pitcher is Jason Vargas, who is giving up a .378 wOBA to righties, along with 1.73 HR/9. LeMahieu comes in with a .433 wOBA and a .263 ISO vs left-handed pitchers. Those are elite level numbers, which should put LeMahieu in consideration for cash games tonight.
Justin Turner - 3B, LAD @ CHC (DK - $3,900)
Turner is moderately priced third basemen tonight and comes in on a bit of a hot streak. Not including last night's game, Turner has six hits over his last five games with two doubles and one home run. The Dodgers as a team are looking much better, so he makes a solid addition to them if you are looking for a team to stack. Turner has a massive .430 wOBA vs left-handed pitchers this season, with a low 12% strikeout rate.
Dansby Swanson - SS, @ ATL @ TOR (DK - $3,800)
Swanson seems to be a very straightforward play to me tonight, so let's break it down. He is up against Jaime Garcia, who is giving up a .372 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season, along with 1.24 HR/9. Those are below average numbers, so this is a spot we want to take advantage of. Swanson comes into this game with only a .296 wOBA vs lefties, but he has a .229 ISO. So the consistency might not be there, but if you are searching for a home run, he is a solid option for a player under $4K.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Adam Duvall - OF, CIN vs DET (DK - $3,400)
Duvall comes in with a .348 wOBA and a massive .281 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers this season, putting him in a great spot tonight. He is pretty cheap, which will allow you to get up to some of the higher priced pitchers on this slate. He isn't the most consistent hitter in the league, but his price and the park factor are great tonight.
Giancarlo Stanton - OF, NYY vs SEA (DK - $5,000)
Stanton has been very hot or cold this season, but he had four hits last night, and will now be back at home vs a left-handed pitcher. Speaking of left-handed pitchers, Stanton is crushing them this year. He has a .468 wOBA and a silly high .439 ISO vs LHP this season. With numbers like that, he brings multi-home run upside in one of the best hitter's parks in the leauge.
