DraftKings Starting Pitchers
Blake Snell - P, TB @ OAK (DK - $10,600)
Snell is one of the most expensive pitchers on the slate but has shown some great consistency this season, outside of a few starts. He comes in with a 31% strikeout rate vs left-handed hitters and a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed hitters. That should play nicely for him tonight, as he is up against the Athletics who have a 23.8% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers this season, which is 11th worst in the league. He comes in with eight strikeouts in each of his last two games and is averaging over one strikeout per inning. Great park factor for pitching, should help him limit the damage against a very average Oakland team.
Tyson Ross - P, SD vs MIA (DK - $9,200)
Ross is at home, comes in as a -155 favorite against a weak Marlins team and makes a viable option in all formats tonight. He has scored 21 or more DraftKings points in three of his last five games, which comes from his seven or more strikeouts in each of those three games. He is giving up a super low .203 wOBA right-handed hitters this season but is struggling a bit with lefties, giving up a .349 wOBA. Love the matchup, the park factor, and the consistency from Ross this season.
DraftKings Infielders
Eric Hosmer - 1B, SD vs MIA (DK - $4,000)
Hosmer has seriously been struggling lately, but I like this spot for him to get things going in the right direction. He hasn't had an extra-base hit in his last 10 games but is facing off against Dan Straily, who is a fly ball pitcher. Now, this isn't the best hitters park, but Hosmer still has a .362 wOBA and a .192 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season.
Javier Baez - 2B, CHC @ PIT (DK - $4,300)
Baez is a reverse splits hitter, meaning he is better vs right-handed pitchers compared to lefties, even as a righty hitter. He has a .392 wOBA and a MASSIVE .331 ISO vs right-handed pitchers and has hit 10 of his 13 home runs against RHP. The Cubs come in with an implied run total sitting at 4.05, which isn't that high, so I like Baez as a one-off, looking for that home run.
Kyle Seager - 3B, SEA vs TEX (DK - $3,500)
Seager comes into this game with massive .226 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season and seems a bit too cheap on today's slate. He is up against Austin Bibens-Dirkx, who is giving up a .472 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season. Really like the Mariners as a stack today, mainly the lefties, and can make a nice GPP stack.
Dansby Swanson - SS, ATL vs NYM (DK - $3,300)
Swanson is up against Matz, who is giving up a .338 wOBA and 1.98 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season. Great matchup for the Braves right-handed hitters tonight and they should be high on your list of hitters to target. Love his price tonight and with the salary relief he brings, he can fit into any lineup.
DraftKings Outfielders
Andrew Benintendi - OF, BOS vs TOR (DK - $5,100)
Benintendi has seven hits over his last five games, with two home runs, two triples and one double. He is crushing it right now and has been batting in the leadoff spot with Mookie Betts out with an injury. If Benintendi keeps that leadoff spot, it will be really tough to pass him up, as the Red Sox have an implied run total sitting at 5.44, which second highest on the slate outside of Coors Field.
David Dahl - OF, COL vs SFG (DK - $4,100)
Dahl comes in with a .388 wOBA and a .213 ISO vs right-handed pitchers and is looking to be one of the best mid-range plays on the night for outfielders. He isn't overly expensive, but he gets you exposure to the Rockies offense, which has an implied run total sitting at 6.04, which is huge. He had the day off yesterday so he should be set to return to the lineup and is viable in all formats tonight.
