DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Patrick Corbin - P, WAS vs PIT (DK - $10,100)
Corbin is coming off a very strong start where he posted nine strikeouts, over six innings, while allowing three earned runs. He is a great cash game option on tonight's slate with his 30.4% strikeout rate to start the season. Yes, that's a small sample size, but he had a 30.8% strikeout rate last season, so yeah, he's right on target. He is up against the Pirates who have a 20.5% strikeout rate versus left-handed pitchers, which isn't super high, so it might not be 10+ strikeouts tonight, but hitting seven is in the cards.
Trent Thornton - P, TOR vs TB (DK - $7,800)
Thornton is a pitcher in the mid-range tonight and comes in with 19.8 DraftKings points or more in both of his starts this season. Tonight, he is up against the Rays who have a 26.4% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitchers. The savings on him can't be overstated tonight on a loaded slate where you are trying to jam some hitting stacks. Thornton has a 38% hard contact rate which isn't great but that hasn't come back to bite him, yet, *crosses fingers*.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Gary Sanchez - C, NYY vs CWS (DK - $4,900)
Sanchez is the most expensive catcher on the slate and should be returning to the lineup tonight against the White Sox. He will be facing off against Lucas Giolito, who allowed a .327 wOBA, 1.47 HR/9, and a 33% hard contact rate to right-handed hitters.
Mitch Moreland - 1B, BOS vs BAL (DK - $4,500)
We should see Moreland draw into the starting lineup tonight for the platoon advantage against David Hess, who allowed a hilariously high 2.55 HR/9 to lefties last season, along with a 45% hard contact rate. Great hitter's park for the Sox at home, which is why they have an implied team total set at 5.56.
Brian Dozier - 2B, WAS vs PIT (DK - $3,800)
Dozier isn't expensive at all tonight and comes in with a .205 ISO and a solid 20% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitchers from last season. He and the Nationals are more of a stacking option tonight since there are better matchups on the slate for cash games.
Ryon Healy - 3B, SEA vs HOU (DK - $4,100)
Healy and the Mariners are seemingly going to be hitting home runs every single game and no reason to fade them when they are scoring runs like this. They are up against Wade Miley who doesn't have the biggest sample size from last season, but if we look back to 2017, he allowed 1.67 HR/9 to righties.
Jonathan Villar - SS, BAL @ BOS (DK - $4,500)
Villar has hits in nine of his last 10 games and is looking like a solid stacking option tonight. The Orioles are facing off against Eduardo Rodriguez for the Red Sox tonight and he has allowed 11 earned runs in eight innings pitched this season.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Khris Davis - OF, OAK @ BAL (DK - $4,900)
I guess Davis is just going to hit home runs in all of his road games since he gets a nice positive park shift being away from Oakland. He has four home runs in his last two games and that streak could actually continue tonight versus who allowed a .328 wOBA, 1.61 HR/9, and a 48% fly ball rate to right-handed pitchers, but that was back in 2016, his last time in the majors.
Keon Broxton - OF, NYM @ ATL (DK - $3,800)
Broxton is going to be up against Kyle Wright from the Braves tonight, which actually put him in a good spot. Broxton showed to be a reverse splits hitter last season and is better against right-handed pitchers compared to lefties. He had a solid .330 wOBA and a .288 ISO, which should put him in play at a cheaper price tag.
