DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/29/16): MLB DFS Advice

The baseball regular season is winding down. The race for playoffs has begun. There is no better time of the year. The seasons are changing. The holiday are coming. Football is back. Let's win some money to make it all even better!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/29/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: Be sure to check out FantasyAces DFS contests. New users that sign up on Fantasy Aces and make a $20 deposit will receive RotoBaller's full season NFL Premium Pass for free (including Premium DFS), normally a $59.99 value. Expert DFS research, sample lineups, matchup ratings and lots more!

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates tend to not make this recommendation list, but with such a great matchup against the Chicago Cubs and Rob Zastryzny, they can be used in both 50/50 contests and tournaments. Players like Sean Rodriguez, Andrew McCutchen, and Jung Ho Kang should be targeted.

Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies are a high-upside offense. Josh Collmenter is on the mound for the Atlanta Braves tonight, and he will likely not be able to keep the Phillies from reaching base. Players like Cesar Hernandez, Maikel Franco, and Odubel Herrera should be targeted.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Johnny Cueto ($11,200)

Johnny Cueto is undoubtedly the best pitching option on the board, especially for 50/50 contests. He has been consistent all season for the San Francisco Giants, and he needs to win this game against the Colorado Rockies. In three starts against the Rockies this season, he is averaging over 25 fantasy points.

Jeremy Hellickson ($9,500)

Jeremy Hellickson, much like the Philadelphia Phillies' offense, is a high-upside pitcher. He gets a great matchup against the less-than-ideal Atlanta Braves' offense, and he should be able to pitch well. In two of his last three starts, he has over 25 fantasy points. Use him in tournaments for his upside.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C) - Gary Sanchez ($5,400)

Gary Sanchez is a home run-hitting machine. He has 20 on the season with 42 RBIs to boot. With a great matchup against the Boston Red Sox in Yankee Stadium tonight, he can be used in all formats, despite his high price tag.

First Base (1B) - Kendrys Morales ($4,000)

Kendrys Morales is hitting over .350 in his last 10 games with over 11 fantasy points per game on average during that time span. He has 30 home runs on the season, three of which came in his last 10 games. The upside is there. The consistency is there. Roster him.

Second Base (2B) - Cesar Hernandez ($4,500)

Cesar Hernandez gets a great matchup tonight, and he has been overly good for the Philadelphia Phillies this season. His batting average is heading toward .300 in the right direction, and in his last 10 games, he is averaging over nine fantasy points per. Use him in all formats.

Shortstop (SS) - Dansby Swanson ($2,700)

Take a chance on Dansby Swanson in tournaments tonight against the Philadelphia Phillies. In his last game, he posted 30 fantasy points. In his last 10 games, he has a .294 batting average and almost eight fantasy points per game on average. He is going to be an elite hitter when he matures.

Third Base (3B) - Justin Turner ($4,100)

Justin Turner is a very solid 50/50 contest third baseman tonight. He gets a solid matchup against the San Diego Padres, and he is hitting over .300 in his last 10 games. His upside is not ideal for tournaments, so stick to cash games here.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Dexter Fowler ($5,500)

Dexter Fowler gets a semi-tough matchup tonight against the Pittsburgh Pirates and surging pitcher Ivan Nova, but he still has great upside. With over 10 fantasy points per game over his last 10 starts, he can be used in tournaments without hesitation.

Randal Grichuk ($4,400)

Randal Grichuk gets a solid matchup against the Cincinnati Reds, and in his last 10 starts, he has a .270 batting average, two home runs, and seven RBIs. He has power and upside. Use him in tournaments.
