DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Week 7 Daily College Fantasy Football - Saturday Main Slate (10/15/22)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday Main Week 7 (10/15/22) slate. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We are back to 13 games for the Saturday main slate this week. I'm sure hoping that we get some injury clarification before Saturday with all of these quarterbacks banged up. We open things up with Auburn in Oxford, Miami in Blacksburg, the Gophers in Champaign, Penn State in the Big House, Iowa State in Austin, and Oklahoma hosting Kansas. Not bad, huh?

The afternoon begins with Alabama heading up to Knoxville for the right to smoke cigars in the locker room. Arkansas heads out to Provo for a rough non-conference tilt. Oklahoma State heads to Fort Worth in a battle for conference supremacy. North Carolina State heads up to the Loud House to take on the Orange. Maryland is in Bloomington. We have Ohio in Kalamazoo for a bit of MACtion to end the 3:30 kickoffs. We end this with Wisconsin heading to East Lansing. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/15/22 locking at noon eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Bryce Young ($9,500) or Jalen Milroe ($8,800), Alabama

Concussions are tricky, especially right now. Young was close to playing last week which makes me think he'll be the guy. Even if he's not, Milroe has proven that he is more than capable as the backup. He's not nearly the passer that Young is (in fairness...few are), but the Tennessee defense has been gashed at times this year. I prefer Young (obviously), but there is still a good possibility of success for Milroe here.

Jason Bean, Kansas ($7,500)

Bean impressed in relief of Jalon Daniels last week, throwing for 262 yards and four touchdowns in one half! We've all seen just how horrible the Oklahoma defense is. Lance Leipold said that Daniels was doubtful for Saturday so I'm going to have Bean in every lineup. Hey, Daniels is the same price. Both are too cheap against this Oklahoma defense and it's an easy pivot to whoever starts.

K.J. Jefferson, Arkansas ($6,400)

Jefferson has been cleared for a full week of practice, so he should be good to go this week. His price has me all over Jefferson. He rushed for a touchdown in every game except the Alabama game and has only thrown one interception all season. With that kind of rushing ability and his ability to take care of the ball, I love Jefferson in this spot. He put up 33.34 DraftKings points on a good A&M defense. I'm not worried about BYU.

Kurtis Rourke, Ohio ($6,200)

Rourke has nine touchdowns and no interceptions over the last three games along with 78 rushing yards. Most of us saw what Eastern Michigan did to Western last week. They destroyed the Broncos through the air. Did I mention that Rourke has 1,286 yards in just the last three games? No? Rourke has a shot at a ceiling game here. He might not put up a 50-spot like he did against Fordham, but 40 is a real possibility.

Also consider: Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma ($9,000); Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State ($7,900); Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland ($6,900); Jack Salopek, Western Michigan ($6,300); Graham Mertz, Wisconsin ($5,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Braelon Allen, Wisconsin ($8,200)

The top backs today are extremely talented, but both face run defenses that are in the top 10% of FBS. It's an easy drop-down to Allen, who gets a Michigan State defense that has given up 153.5 rushing yards per game. It has been much worse in Big Ten(14) play, though. They have allowed 652 yards in the three conference games on the ground. Allen is a prime position to have a big game here.

Chase Brown, Illinois ($7,200)

Brown is the Illinois offense. He gets a ton of touches, and he ran for over 120 yards against the stout run defenses of Wyoming, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Minnesota is going to make the going tough for him as well, but I trust the workload here. Brown has topped the century mark in every game this season for the Illini. He doesn't need a touchdown to pay off the price with the yards, bonus, and involvement in the passing game.

Raheim Sanders, Arkansas ($6,500)

Even in the negative game scripts against Mississippi State and Alabama, Sanders racked up 46.5 DraftKings points in the two games. This offense is better with Jefferson running it and he should be back this week. The price on Sanders feels a little low against a BYU defense that has been torn apart on the ground. The Cougars have allowed 172.2 rushing yards per game so far this year, including more than 200 in each of the last two games and three of the last four. The Razorbacks could have a great day on the ground here.

Jarquez Hunter, Auburn ($4,400)

It has been slow going for Tank and the Auburn rushing game as a whole lately, but Hunter has found his niche in the passing game. He has a 60+ yard reception in each of the last two games. He's a bit of a boom-or-bust guy, but Hunter is the back on the field for Auburn in passing downs and that's where Ole Miss had problems with Vandy in the first half last week. Hunter is a reasonably priced upside punt in GPPs.

Also consider: Blake Corum, Michigan ($7,800); Sean Tucker, Syracuse ($7,300); Quinshon Judkins, Mississippi ($6,800); Roman Hemby, Maryland ($5,800); Sieh Bangura, Ohio ($5,500); Jovantae Barnes, Oklahoma ($4,100)

 

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Xavier Hutchinson, Iowa State ($8,300)

I know...what am I doing recommending a guy playing in an offense that has scored just 20 points in the last two games combined and he wasn't involved in any of those? Volume. DFS is all about volume for receivers. Hutchinson has at least eight receptions and 80 yards in every game this season. That's 16 points whether he finds the end zone or not. I'll take that kind of floor against a Texas defense that has given up some big plays this year.

Quentin Johnston, TCU ($6,700)

Johnston broke out in a big way against Kansas with career-highs in receptions (14) and yards (206) while catching the game-winner with two minutes left. I have questions about whether Max Duggan can stay on his feet against the OSU front, but they can be had on the back end. Duggan will be looking for Johnston the entire game, so I'll look at him a few times too. The volume should be there as the Toadies look for the upset at home.

Chimere Dike, Wisconsin ($5,600)

You Wisconsin fans might be wondering who those players are that take off down the field every play. They were forgotten men under Paul Chryst. They weren't last week. Dike exploded for 10 receptions on 11 targets for 185 yards and three touchdowns. Michigan State's defense has been brutalized by every part of opposing offenses. I think we'll see Wisconsin do what they did to Northwestern last week, which means that every Wisconsin piece – particularly those in the passing game – is severely underpriced.

Sam Wiglusz, Ohio ($5,000)

Someone has to catch all of those yards that Kurtis Rourke is going to throw for. Wiglusz has 23 receptions for 332 yards and three touchdowns over the three games of the Rourke Offensive Revolution for the Bobcats. Like most Ohio pieces, Wiglusz is underpriced. The Western Michigan defense is really bad right now.

Also consider: Marvin Mims, Oklahoma ($8,000); Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee ($6,900); Corey Crooms, Western Michigan ($6,600); Ronnie Bell, Michigan ($6,000); Luke Grimm, Kansas ($5,200); Jeshaun Jones, Maryland ($5,100); Daniel Jackson, Minnesota ($4,500); Luke Schoonmaker, Michigan ($3,800)

 

College Football DFS Game Stack Options

You know which team stacks are often good, but this isn't baseball. Game stacks can and do work. Just look at Appalachian State-North Carolina in Week 1. That game made several DFS players a few thousand bucks. Who can do that this week? Let's check it out!

Oklahoma State at TCU

This over/under is creeping up on 70, making it a good DFS target. For Oklahoma State, it's Spencer Sanders and whatever receiver you feel like you can trust. I really like Braydon Johnson, but considering he was in concussion protocol last week, he might be out again. That makes receivers harder to predict for the Cowboys. Bryson Green is the obvious choice, but don't sleep on Brennan Pressley either. Daniel Richardson is nothing more than a leverage piece. I like him, but there are better options for the price.

For TCU, I definitely want the team speed again. Quentin Johnston is the low-hanging fruit. I like Kendre Miller and Derius Davis as well, but I'm not bullish on Duggan. That defensive line for Okie State is going to get after him, but he might be a nice leverage piece.

Ohio at Western Michigan

Sometimes it's not about the points that a stack gets you. It's about the price it costs to get the stack. Both quarterbacks in this game will cost you $12,500 combined. You can get Bangura and WMU goalline back La'Darius Jefferson for $10,700. You can get Crooms and Wiglusz for $11,600. That leaves you with $15,200 for your last receiver spot and your flex spot. You can open it up even more by dropping Salopek out of your stack, giving you $21,500 for QB/WR/FLEX. That's what I'm talking about!

Honorable Mention: Kansas at Oklahoma, Arkansas at BYU
