We have another lighter Friday night, but as is the usual this time of year, they are both conference tilts. We don't have any power five teams in action tonight, but that doesn't mean the absence of good football.
The earlier game features Tulsa in Philly to take on a Temple team that got embarrassed in the Bounce House last Friday. The later game features UAB heading up to the hill country of Kentucky to take on the Hilltoppers. This is going to be a good one!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/21/22 locking at 7:30 pm eastern time. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Austin Reed, Western Kentucky ($7,900)
Reed's low mark on the season is 276 passing yards, so I'm a huge fan of this price. UAB is tough on defense, but there is also a good chance that the Hilltoppers are playing from behind in this game. That should mean plenty of work for Reed, who has completed at least 30 passes in every game against FBS competition. The volume makes up for the strong defense that he's going against. Reed doesn't make many mistakes.
Dylan Hopkins, UAB ($5,100)
What makes Hopkins so valuable is the rushing upside that he brings. He has 155 rushing yards in the last two games and has put up good numbers through the air as well. The Hilltoppers can be had on the ground and on the back end. There is a high ceiling for Hopkins here if you plan on leveraging the field with only one quarterback in a large field GPP.
Also consider: Davis Brin, Tulsa ($6,500); E.J. Warner, Temple ($4,600)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
DeWayne McBride, UAB ($7,900)
McBride has been one of the best backs in the country this year. He has 778 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in just five games. No team has held him under 120 and the Hilltoppers aren't equipped to do that either. McBride is the one guy that you can't fade on this slate. The ceiling is too high and the dropoff is really steep at running back. Just play McBride and get different elsewhere.
Edward Saydee, Temple ($4,400)
It has been hard to gauge the running back situation for the Owls since they are constantly in negative game scripts. However, Saydee had most of the carries last week and has a nice matchup with a porous Tulsa run defense. All he really needs to do is score Temple's only touchdown to pay off this price.
Also consider: Kye Robichaux, Western Kentucky ($7,000); Deneric Prince, Tulsa ($5,600); Davion Ervin-Poindexter, Western Kentucky ($3,900)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Malachi Corley, Western Kentucky ($7,600)
Tulsa is battling a lot of injuries and likely won't need to use everyone to beat a bad Temple team, so if I'm paying up, it's for Corley. He has 21 receptions for 231 yards and a touchdown over the last two games. I do think WKU is playing from behind for most of this game, which plays into paying up for Reed and at least one of his receivers. Corley is the obvious one, but there is decent value among the Hilltoppers' receivers below him.
Trea Shropshire, UAB ($4,400)
DK screws up the pricing on at least one player a slate. On this slate, it's Shropshire. He is the big play waiting to happen in the UAB passing game. The Blazers have been content to run teams into submission, but they have still left some scraps for Shropshire. He has 13 receptions for 306 yards and a pair of touchdowns since returning to the lineup three games ago. He should break one against the WKU secondary as well.
Jose Barbon, Temple ($4,100)
Barbon exploded once E.J. Warner entered the starting lineup. He has 12 receptions for 237 yards and a touchdown over the last two games. That was the first touchdown reception for Barbon on the year, but it won't be the last. Temple has been much better at moving the ball of late and Barbon is a big reason why.
Also consider: Keylon Stokes, Tulsa ($7,900); Jaylen Hall, Western Kentucky ($5,600); Isaiah Epps, Tulsa ($5,300); Adonicas Sanders, Temple ($4,100); Tejhaun Palmer, UAB ($3,000)
