We finally have a Thursday night DraftKings slate again! The NFL has taken over Thursday for long enough. Last week's Thursday night game was a good one. Let's see if either one of these tilts will be.
We start off in Jonesboro with the mullets invading Red Wolves territory. Tulane is hosting Houston in a battle of teams that don't particularly like each other. There's a lot of fantasy goodness hidden on all four of these teams. Let's see what we can find!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/7/21 locking at 7:30 pm eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks
Michael Pratt, Tulane ($7,800)
I mentioned last week about the inflated numbers on the Houston pass defense. Tulsa threw for 268 yards on them, which was the most passing yards the Cougars have allowed on the season. Tulane has shifted to more of a passing team this year, but don't expect a miracle out of Pratt. This Houston pass defense is nearly as good as the numbers suggest. That doesn't mean that Pratt can't have a good game. Houston's six interceptions have all come in two of their five games. Pratt still scored 29.82 DraftKings points last week despite throwing three interceptions. There is still potential here, especially if the Wave are playing from behind again.
Clayton Tune, Houston ($6,600)
Tune has yet to have a game that really makes us stand up and pay attention. He hasn't broken the 25-point DraftKings threshold yet this season and has only broken 20 once. That's a bit concerning considering the price. However, Tune has settled in since the opening loss to Texas Tech and has put up some solid games since. Tulane is allowing 276.8 passing yards per game and has given up 13 passing touchdowns in five games. There is potential for that game from Tune here.....finally.
Also consider: Grayson McCall/Bryce Carpenter, Coastal Carolina ($8,500/$8,000); James Blackman, Arkansas State ($5,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs
Alton McCaskill, Houston ($7,500)
Tulane's pass defense has been a bit of an issue. Their run defense has been an absolute atrocity. East Carolina – a team known more for passing than running – gashed them for 310 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground last week. McCaskill still splits time with Houston's other backs, but he gets the lion's share of the totes. He put three in the end zone against Tulsa last week and has scored multiple touchdowns in three games this year. McCaskill has slate-breaking potential here.
Shermari Jones, Coastal Carolina ($6,300)
If Grayson McCall's leg injury keeps him out of this game, we should see CCU run the ball a lot. Jones missed the last two games with a leg injury of his own, but they say he's good to go this week. Jones has topped 100 rushing yards in two of the three games that he's played. Reese White will still get some carries, but Jones is the more explosive runner. Both are great options here, especially if McCall is out.
Lincoln Pare, Arkansas State ($5,100)
CCU's defense is tough, but Arkansas State has continually found ways to get Pare the ball. Take for instance the game against Washington in Seattle. Pare only had seven rushing yards in that game, but he caught seven passes for 69 yards. That still made him a great fantasy play against a tough opponent. We should see something like that here. Pare has double-digit DraftKings points in three of the four games for the Red Wolves.
Also consider: Reese White, Coastal Carolina ($5,700); Cameron Carroll, Tulane ($5,300); Ta'Zhawn Henry, Houston ($3,800)
DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers
Nathaniel Dell, Houston ($7,100)
Dell has 31 receptions on the season so far. No other Cougar even has half that. Only one other wide receiver – Marcus Jones, a converted cornerback – has double digits (he has ten receptions). This passing attack runs through Dell and short passes to the tight ends or backs. The two Texas Tech transfers haven't been nearly as big of a boost to the passing game as expected. The emergence of Dell as by far Tune's favorite target has something to do with that. This is the type of volume share that I want to see when paying up for receivers in DFS.
Corey Rucker, Arkansas State ($6,100)
Rucker is making a case that he is the best receiver in the Fun Belt. He'll go toe-to-toe with the incumbent, Jaivon Heiligh, in this one. Rucker has six of the 15 touchdowns thrown by Arkansas State quarterbacks. No one else has more than two. Rucker leads the team in receptions and yards as well. He doesn't have the share ratio that Dell does, but he is the Arkansas State receiver that is electric enough to find the end zone against a defense like this.
Tyrick James, Tulane ($4,600)
In a game in which Tulane figures to be playing from behind, they are going to have to throw. James isn't as electric as the receivers, but he leads the team in receptions and yards and is tied for the team lead in touchdowns. I'm using James for his solid floor. Jaetavian Toles and Deuce Watts are bigger playmakers, but both have had games in the low single digits this year. James has not.
Also consider: Jaivon Heiligh, Coastal Carolina ($6,700); Isaiah Likely, Coastal Carolina ($5,500); Dahu Green, Arkansas State ($4,900); Kameron Brown, Coastal Carolina ($4,500)
