DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (10/23/21 Early)

breece hall NFL Draft fantasy football rankings rookies draft sleepers

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the main slate on 10/23/21. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win big.

Our big slate on Saturday has 12 games that DraftKings picked out for us. We've got some important games on here once again. We start off with Kansas State heading down to Lubbock and Oklahoma heading up to Lawrence. Cincinnati will head to Annapolis to rack up some more style points. Penn State and Michigan will look for big wins against Illinois and Northwestern respectively. Wake heads up to West Point to take on Army to finish the noon games.

The afternoon starts with Oklahoma State heading up to Ames as touchdown dogs despite being ranked in the top ten. Wisconsin heads to Purdue to see if they can take out the team that took out Iowa. Rallying LSU heads over to Oxford. Oregon gets a Rose Bowl trip during the regular season. Clemson heads up to Pittsburgh and Minnesota takes on little Tua and the Terps to close out the slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the early DraftKings slate that locks at noon eastern on 10/23/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Caleb Williams, Oklahoma ($9,800)

This game should be well in hand relatively early, but Oklahoma will likely leave Williams out there well into the second half to get him some important reps. He still needs work on some things. The talent and arm strength are there. There's no question that his abilities have given the offense a dimension that it just didn't have with Spencer Rattler. Williams should have a big game before he departs.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA ($8,100)

The Ducks have allowed more than 200 yards rushing to every team but Stony Brook, and they still allowed triple digits to the Seawolves. DTR is one of the best running quarterbacks in the country. On top of that, he has thrown 13 touchdowns to just two interceptions this season. He isn't always a super accurate passer, but he has had his moments of efficiency. Last week against Washington was a prime example of that. The ceiling is high on DTR since this promises to be a close game.

Skylar Thompson, Kansas State ($6,000)

The Texas Tech pass defense appears to be a strength right now. Only three of their seven opponents (West Virginia, Texas, and Stephen F. Austin) have topped 300 passing yards against them. Thompson wont be the fourth. Thompson only breaks 300 against Oklahoma. However, Thompson does have at least 20 DraftKings points in every game he has played start to finish this year. One of those was against Iowa State, who is statistically the best defense in the conference. Thompson doesn't have a high ceiling, but 20 DraftKings points at this price is hard to come by.

Also consider: Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh ($8,400); Sam Hartman, Wake Forest ($7,800); Brock Purdy, Iowa State ($6,600); Tanner Morgan, Minnesota ($5,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Breece Hall, Iowa State ($9,400)

Hall ran for 185 and a touchdown against sixth-ranked Oklahoma State in a close loss in Stillwater last year. When the games get tougher, Hall's stat lines get better. The Cyclones have done a good job limiting Hall in games where they don't really need him, but he carried 30 times against K-State last weekend and 27 times against Baylor. He's going to get a on of touches again and should post his fourth straight game over 30 DraftKings points. He also has a shot at his fifth consecutive games of at least two touchdowns. Hall has 123.7 DraftKings points in those three games. That's including only 17 carries against Kansas. There is no more sure thing on this slate.

Jaylen Warren, Oklahoma State ($8,000)

Oklahoma State is using Warren the same way the Cyclones use Hall. It's dueling workhorses over in Ames tomorrow. Warren has four straight games of 24 or more DraftKings points. With Spencer Sanders not always the most reliable passer around, Warren is called upon to carry a big load and loosen up the defenses. It's going to be tough sledding against Ohio State, but if he can run well against K-State and Baylor, Warren should still have a strong game against the Cyclones.

Tyrion Davis-Price, LSU ($6,600)

Ole Miss has allowed at least 200 rushing yards in every SEC tilt so far this season. Davis-Price is coming of a school-record 287 on the ground against what is regarded as a tough Florida defense. Did I mention Ole Miss has allowed ten rushing touchdowns in three SEC games? No? Davis-Price in an elite option in any type of lineup with his price this low. He should be in for another big game against Mississippi.

Bryce Williams, Minnesota ($5,400)

Is every back that takes the field for the Gophers a workhorse? Mohamed Ibrahim goes down and Trey Potts runs wild. Trey Potts joins Ibrahim in street clothes and Williams runs for 127 on a strong Nebraska front. Maryland can't really stop anything and I'm not convinced that Tanner Morgan can throw enough to keep Maryland on their toes. That should mean a lot of carries against a questionable defense for Williams. He's in a really good spot here.

Also consider: Kennedy Brooks, Oklahoma ($8,600); Jerome Ford, Cincinnati ($8,300); Deuce Vaughn, Kansas State ($7,700); Phil Mafah, Clemson ($4,400); Jerrion Ealy, Mississippi ($4,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

David Bell, Purdue ($7,600)

Yeah, I know Wisconsin has a good defense. Iowa does too and he torched the Hawkeyes for 240 yards through the air. Purdue's new offensive philosophy is to throw it towards Bell and let him win the game for you. Only Notre Dame has held Bell under 100 receiving yards this year. The dueling quarterbacks thing may hurt Bell a little, but you don't need to mess with who's under center. Just go with the focal points of this offense and hope for the best.

Jaquarii Roberson, Wake Forest ($6,400)

All three of A.T. Perry's catches last week against the Orange went the distance. That's going to cause those attacking this game to flock to him. I'm going the other way. Army isn't a defense that routinely gets burnt deep. Roberson is the possession guy and target hog that will catch a bunch of short passes and hopefully break one of them. Even if he doesn't Roberson is by far the safest Wake option against Army.

Stephon Robinson Jr., Northwestern ($5,500)

The ascension of Ryan Hilinski to starting quarterback has done wonders for Robinson. He has 13 receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown over the last two games with Hilinski not splitting snaps anymore. This is going to be a really tough game against Michigan and I do have questions on whether Northwestern can do enough against this defense. However, Robinson's price is low enough to take a chance on his seemingly solid floor.

Jaylon Redd, Oregon ($4,600)

Oregon has spread the ball around a whole lot when they have thrown this year and it has diminished the fantasy appeal of their receivers. Redd still leads the team in receptions, targets, and touchdowns. If you're going to go with an Oregon receiver, Redd is the one to chase. If you need a cheaper option, Devon Williams is worth a flier in GPP formats.

Lawrence Arnold, Kansas ($4,200)

Oklahoma has had two receivers absolutely torch them in each of the last two weeks. The issue here is that Jason Bean isn't a great passer and Arnold doesn't even lead the Jayhawks in receptions. Kwamie Lassiter does. So why target Arnold? Because he is the most physically imposing of the Kansas receivers. Xavier Worthy and Quentin Johnston are on the taller side and Oklahoma couldn't cover them. Arnold has some things working against him here, but if you're looking for a low-owned GPP dart, Arnold has a lot of potential.

Also consider: Marvin Mims, Oklahoma ($7,300); Tay Martin, Oklahoma State ($6,900); Chris Autman-Bell, Minnesota ($6,200); Charlie Kolar, Iowa State ($4,500); Chigoziem Okonkwo, Maryland ($3,700)
