We have a couple of warm-ups before another monster Saturday. We have two games tonight and two games tomorrow. Tonight's features an FCS team in Northwestern State. We'll have to do a little more research because their matchup isn't a bad one.
Both games start at the same time, so we have a slate that starts and ends at relatively the same time. Those can be fun! Northwestern State heads to Mobile to take on the Jaguars and Texas State gets a big-name opponent to come to San Marcos in Arizona State. Well done!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/12/24, locking at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Jordan McCloud, Texas State ($8K)
This pick is simple for me. Texas State needs McCloud to win the game. The Sun Devils don't need Sam Leavitt. He was still in there making plays against Mississippi State, but he wasn't essential to the Sun Devils' win. McCloud has 60.78 DraftKings points in the two games so far. He won't hit 30 against Arizona State, but he should still be in the 20s. I can't say the same for Leavitt.
Texas State finished with a 49-10 win over UTSA. The Bobcats start the season 2-0 before taking on Arizona State next week.

Texas State is the new UTSA. This team is fun to watch and exciting on offense. That has everything to do with Jordan McCloud.
Gio Lopez, South Alabama ($7.3K)
Lopez shined in the opener against North Texas but was forced to miss the loss to Ohio with a toe injury. He is listed as probable going into this game, but keep an eye on this to make sure. If Lopez is active, this is a great matchup.
Also consider: Sam Leavitt, Arizona State ($9K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Cam Skattebo, Arizona State ($6.5K)
Skattebo went nuts on Mississippi State. He carried 33 times for 262 yards and caught three passes. No running back gets that kind of workload anymore. The Bobcats looked good against the run last week, but Skattebo is a different animal. He's way too cheap.

Ismail Mahdi, Texas State ($6K)
The UTSA defense did a solid job on Mahdi's rushing attempts, but he also caught four passes for 56 yards. His usage pales in comparison to Skattebo, but so does everyone else. We need two RB and this is a situation where we need to use the two best. It's not close on this slate.
Also consider: Braylon McReynolds, South Alabama ($5.2K); Lincoln Pare, Texas State ($4.8K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Joey Hobert, Texas State ($6.2K)
Hobert had a bigger game in the close game against Lamar in Week 1. The blowout over rival UTSA saw Hobert's usage drop some. I expect the Bobcats to have to throw more than usual to keep up in this game, which would be a good thing for Hobert's fantasy outlook.
Jamaal Pritchett, South Alabama ($5.7K)
Pritchett has succeeded with both quarterbacks under center, so he's a strong play even if Lopez misses this game. Pritchett was far more effective in the first game, but 58.4 DraftKings points in two games (with two different quarterbacks) speaks for itself.
South Alabama WR Jamaal Pritchett turned 50% of his catches into a gain of 20 yards or more in Week 1 ?

Devin Voisin, South Alabama ($5.1K)
Voisin missed most of 2023 with a torn ACL. He looks fine so far with 10 receptions in the first two games for the Jaguars. Call him the possession guy to Pritchett's big play ability, but whatever the case, the USA passing game is a force this year.
Also consider: Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State ($6K); Myles Kitt-Denton, Northwestern State ($5.4K); Chris Dawn Jr., Texas State ($4.3K)
DraftKings CFB Stacks
South Alabama
The likelihood of a blowout takes some of the luster off of this, but the fact remains that Gio Lopez is one of the best plays on the entire slate. Fluff Bothwell looks like a good option if this does get out of hand since South Alabama won't want to push McReynolds after missing the Week 2 game.
Pritchett and Voisin are the receivers you want. Shamar Sandgren has a lot of targets, but he hasn't been able to turn that into a lot of production. For this price, it's worth to see if he can if you need salary relief.
Texas State
It's tough to stack Arizona State because of the massive usage on Cam Skattebo. Texas State has the production a little more spread out aside from Jordan McCloud. Mahdi's work in the passing game and Lincoln Pare in the running game can both be serviceable. Hobert is the safest receiver, but it's hard to ignore the career game from Dawn last week.
Also consider: Arizona State
