We have all four bowl games on the slate today since the Gator Bowl played by the dumb unwritten rules of DraftKings and started by noon. Thanks, Jacksonville!
We begin in Jacksonville with the aforementioned Gator Bowl between Kentucky and Clemson. Next up is the Sun Bowl in El Paso between Oregon State and Notre Dame. Next up is the Liberty Bowl with Memphis hosting Iowa State in their home stadium. We end this in Jerry World with Missouri and Ohio State in the first New Year's Six Bowl...the Cotton Bowl.
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/29/23, locking at noon Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Rocco Becht, Iowa State ($6,800)
Becht threw just 12 passes in Farmageddon, but he completed eight of them and three were for touchdowns. Something can be said for handing the ball off and getting the hell out of the way...especially in a snowstorm. There won't be any snow in Memphis, but that kind of presence highlights what makes Becht the perfect guy for this system: he doesn't make mistakes. Brock Purdy didn't make many mistakes either. Becht doesn't have a high ceiling, but I think he'll be in some winning lineups because he's consistently putting up solid scores.
Ben Gulbranson, Oregon State ($6,000)
Gulbranson only threw one pass this year, but he started half of last year for the Beavers. This is a terrible matchup, but the experience of Gulbranson should help the Beavers. If they fall behind and have to throw to stay in this, Gulbranson is capable of it. He threw for 250 yards against Stanford last year and 202 against Colorado.
Also consider: Brady Cook, Missouri ($8,100); Cade Klubnik, Clemson ($7,300); Devin Leary, Kentucky ($6,200)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Cody Schrader, Missouri ($7,700)
Schrader ran for 570 yards in the last three games of the season alone! He compiled five straight 100-yard rushing games to close the season. Michigan was able to run on the Buckeyes. Missouri's line isn't like Michigan's, but the Tigers rely on a ball-control offense as well and they don't turn the ball over. There is potential for Schrader here, but don't expect a ceiling game.
Abu Sama III, Iowa State ($5,700)
It took the Cyclones all season, but they finally figured out what they had in their freshman phenom. Better late than never, I guess...
Also consider: Ray Davis, Kentucky ($7,600); TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State ($7,000); Phil Mafah, Clemson ($5,800); Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame ($4,400); Deshaun Fenwick, Oregon State ($4,000)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Luther Burden III, Missouri ($7,900)
One of the great tragedies of Marvin Harrison Jr. (likely) sitting out the Cotton Bowl is we will miss a showdown between him and Burden. Some think Marv is afraid of getting shown up by Burden. I would say there's a possibility that could happen, but there is no way Harrison is scared of it. He's a top-three pick who's about to become richer than any NIL deal could make him. What would you do?
This is a tough matchup for Burden, but he has shown time and again that he's up for this type of challenge. He went for 149 and a touchdown against LSU, 177 against Memphis, 114 and two scores against Kansas State, and 53 and a score against Georgia. This stage isn't too big for him.
Jaylin Noel, Iowa State ($6,400)
Remember what I said that Burden did against Memphis? Guess who Iowa State plays. Noel has the highest ceiling at the position if Harrison sits out as expected.
Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State ($6,000)
Egbuka was an afterthought with Marvin Harrison Jr. around. I have my doubts about Devin Brown being the guy that makes the Buckeyes better, but Egbuka put up 112 yards on Georgia last year after Marvin Harrison Jr. got hurt in that game. He is capable of big games if given the chance. I'm not worried about him. I'm worried about the quarterback's ability to get the ball to him.
Jake Briningstool, Clemson ($4,500)
Beaux Collins is in the portal, so that makes Briningstool the leading receiver on a team that doesn't pass much. That would be a turn-off if he weren't so cheap. The targets should be there for Briningstool as Clemson is going to use this game to build Cade Klubnik's confidence for next year. Short passes to Briningstool could go a long way towards that.
Also consider: Roc Taylor, Memphis ($6,300); Slade Bolden, Oregon State ($6,100); Jayden Higgins, Iowa State ($5,500); Cade Stover, Ohio State ($5,000); Jaden Greathouse, Notre Dame ($4,300)
DraftKings CFB Stacks:
Iowa State
Memphis is the most porous defense on this slate and the Cyclones scored 42 points in a snowstorm during Farmageddon. This could be a true breakout for this offense. Abu Sama III, Becht, and Jaylin Noel will be staples in my lineups. I love running Jayden Higgins with them as well.
Ohio State
Missouri has a solid defense, but there are a lot of tough defenses on this slate. The Buckeyes are stackable even if you can't stomach running Devin Brown. TreVeyon Henderson/Julian Fleming/Egbuka makes for an interesting contrarian stack, but it still relies a lot on the success of Brown.
Also consider: Clemson, Memphis
