DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (12/27/24)

The biggest weekend of bowl season fills up our Friday with four bowl games. They chopped off the Navy-Oklahoma game (thank God). Our first game features two teams that shaped the playoff more than any others facing each other when Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt meet in the Birmingham Bowl.

Next up is Texas Tech and Arkansas from the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. We have Syracuse and Washington State in the Holiday Bowl from San Diego. We finish the night with USC facing Texas A&M in the Las Vegas Bowl.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/27/24, starting at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower end. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Kyle McCord, Syracuse ($9K)

Not only that, but McCord is currently fighting for a fifth year of eligibility since Ryan Day did him dirty as a redshirt freshman when he put him in a blowout win over Michigan State for his fifth game of the season. It is also rumored that Day signed off on McCord's waiver request. It's high drama in Syracuse.

At any rate, McCord will be playing in one of the more lopsided bowl games since Washington State's John Mateer transferred to Oklahoma. McCord is either going to make a Heisman hype video with the highlights of this game or a tape for NFL scouts. Either way, I expect a strong game out of him.

Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt ($6.1K)

Pavia is electric with the ball in his hands. This will be the worst defense he has faced since Ball State in Week 8, where he put up 31.2 DraftKings points. We likely won't see a game like that, but he could flirt with 25 points. That's a great return for this price range.

Also consider: Haynes King, Georgia Tech ($8.3K); Marcel Reed, Texas A&M ($6.4K); Will Hammond, Texas Tech ($6.4K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Tahj Brooks, Texas Tech ($9.7K)

The Red Raiders will lean on their do-everything back to take the pressure off of a freshman starting quarterback. This may not have been what Brooks envisioned for his final game, but he should get plenty of work in this one to showcase his talents to pro scouts once again.

Amari Daniels, Texas A&M ($4.5K)

Daniels gives us a little more of a sure thing. As far as backups go, he has been filling in for Le'Veon Moss for over a month already with good results. Forget the Texas game. USC's front isn't nearly as good as the Longhorns. Daniels should have plenty of room to roam here.

Also consider: LeQuint Allen, Syracuse ($8.6K); Sedrick Alexander, Vanderbilt ($4K); Rodney Hill, Arkansas ($3.7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Jackson Meeks, Syracuse ($5.8K)

All Syracuse receivers are good plays, and we can afford all of them because of the value at running back if we want. I chose Meeks because he has topped 100 yards in three of the last four games. Meeks has 25 receptions in those four games. It took most of the season, but Kyle McCord finally settled on a favorite (but just barely).

Makai Lemon, USC ($5.2K)

Lemon emerged as Jayden Maiava's favorite target. He hit double figures in all but the Nebraska game since Week 6. Lemon hauled in nine passes in the regular season finale against Notre Dame for 133 yards. With USC likely playing from behind against the Aggies, it could be another fine day for Lemon.

Avery Boyd, Georgia Tech ($3.8K)

Both Malik Rutherford and Eric Singleton Jr. are in the transfer portal. There is no official word yet, but neither is expected to play. That would elevate Boyd to WR1 with Haynes King still throwing him the ball. I like the potential for the price.

Also consider: Kyle Williams, Washington State ($7.4K); Trebor Pena, Syracuse ($6K); Caleb Douglas, Texas Tech ($5K); Coy Eakin, Texas Tech ($4K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Syracuse

All of the stars are playing, and Washington State is missing most of their offense with John Mateer gone. A blowout caps the ceiling, but McCord, Allen, Pena, Meeks, and Oronde Gadsden II are all great plays. The best part is that we can afford all of them, with the running back transfers opening up a ton of value.

Also consider: Texas Tech, Texas A&M
