This week marks the return of MACtion as the Fun Belt moves back to Saturday football. I see no reason why we can't have both on weeknights, but for some strange reason, I don't run the show. The college football world may be a better place if I did.
We start in Mount Pleasant, where the outcome will not be pleasant for the home team after a visit from Bowling Green. We end in Muncie with David Letterman U. hosting the Redhawks of Miami. You can have election night coverage...we'll take MACtion! It's not like we will find out who the president will be on election night anyway.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/5/24, locking at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

College Football Betting Picks - November 5
Since we have DFS slates this week and not just single-game showdowns, I'll go ahead and add the betting picks here instead of posting them on X. It's one-stop shopping again this week!
Bowling Green (-10.5) at Central Michigan
Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 3
One team has Harold Fannin Jr. The other does not. I'm taking the team with the NFL prospect. Thank you very much!
Miami (OH) (-9.5) at Ball State
Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 3
After an inauspicious start, the Redhawks have covered three straight spreads -- by a large margin, I might add. This offense is firing on all cylinders right now. I'll take Miami.
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Connor Bazelak, Bowling Green ($6.7K)
The former Missouri and Indiana quarterback is now throwing to Harold Fannin Jr. against lesser defenses. This is not a bad thing. It gives Bazelak a good floor and a pretty high ceiling. He still makes mistakes that a guy with his experience shouldn't make, but the good outweighs the bad.
Brett Gabbert, Miami (OH) ($6.4K)

Gabbert only threw 12 passes last week and completed 10. He didn't need to do much else in the big win. Don't worry about the lack of numbers last week. This will be a closer game. I like how the Redhawks put Gabbert back in the game for a bit after another injury scare just to show the fans (and DFS players) that he would be okay going forward before his day was done.
Also consider: Kadin Semonza, Ball State ($7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Terion Stewart, Bowling Green ($5.3K)
???? & ?????: @StewartTerion is No. 4 in the nation with 6.8 broken tackles per game.
His career average of 6.0 yards per rush is also No. 8 in the nation among active players with at least 2,000 career rushing yards.#ToTheMoon ?? pic.twitter.com/LivxiQS4G0
— BGSU Football (@BG_Football) November 1, 2024
Stewart is a tough runner and always has been. The matchups don't get much better than this. Central Michigan is allowing 185.5 rushing yards per game and 1.5 rushing touchdowns per game. We could see a monster game from Stewart here if he gets his normal 20 carries per game.
Keyon Mozee, Miami (OH) ($4.7K)
Brett Gabbert gets a lot of credit for the Redhawks' late success, and he should. However, Mozee is arguably just as important. Mozee has three consecutive 100-yard rushing games. The bad news is that he only has one touchdown in that span.
Ball State also leaks yards to running backs (176.38 per game; 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game). Mozee should pick up his fourth straight tonight.
Also consider: Braedon Sloan, Ball State ($5.9K); Marion Lukes, Central Michigan ($5.6K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Harold Fannin Jr., Bowling Green ($8K)
Harold Fannin Jr. Update Through 8 games:
All his numbers are tops among FBS TEs. Rankings below are among all receivers.
947 rec yds (4)
66 rec (3)
533 YAC (1)
23 Broken Tackles (1)
46 1st downs (2)
6 TDs (19)
95.6 Overall PFF Grade (1)* all FBS playersMORE ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/SB1olfKL0e

Read that again: those numbers are among all receivers, not just tight ends. Fannin is one of the most elite TE prospects we have seen in college football, which is saying a lot considering the big names that have come out recently. He's going to break records, which means he's more than good enough for our DFS lineups.
Tanner Koziol, Ball State ($6.1K)
It's Night of the Living Tight Ends on Tuesday night MACtion. If it weren't for how utterly dominant Fannin is, Koziol would be a top-five tight end in college and the best in the MAC. He has at least eight receptions in six consecutive games. Koziol isn't a threat to break one loose. He just doesn't have that speed, but he is one of the most reliable DFS options out there.
Cade McDonald, Miami (OH) ($5.4K)
Price isn't prohibitive on this slate, so we can take as many stars as we want! McDonald isn't really a star, but he has certainly come on with the Miami offensive surge. McDonald has eight receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown over the last two games. Miami even gave him a chance out of the backfield. He will continue to be heavily involved in the offense.
Also consider: Solomon Davis, Central Michigan ($4.8K); Cam Pickett, Ball State ($4.5K); Malcolm Johnson Jr., Bowling Green ($4.3K)
DraftKings CFB Stacks
Bowling Green
Central got torched last week and will again. Bazelak, Stewart, and Fannin will be the common stack. Malcolm Johnson is a nice addition.
Miami (OH)
Gabbert and Mozee are the big pieces. McDonald is growing on me. Kevin Davis is a boom-or-bust type, but we really don't need to reach on this slate.
Also consider: Central Michigan
