We have a busy Tuesday night in Conference USA and the Sun Belt before MACtion (Mid-American Conference) takes over in November. We have three games tonight, all starting a half-hour apart. This is going to be a fun slate!
We begin in Miami with Florida International hosting New Mexico State. Then we head west to San Marcos for Texas State and Louisiana. Our night ends in Texas as well with Sam Houston hosting Louisiana Tech in Huntsville.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/29/24, locking at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

College Football Betting Picks - October 29
Since we have DFS slates this week and not just single-game showdowns, I'll go ahead and add the betting picks here instead of posting them on X. It's one-stop shopping again this week!
New Mexico State at Florida International (-9.5)
Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 3
FIU might have finally found a quarterback. I'll take the Panthers.
Louisiana at Texas State (-3.5)
Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 2
I don't like the half, especially after the Bobcats lost to Old Dominion last week. Louisiana beat a solid Coastal team last week as well. I know the Bobcats are better in San Marcos, but I don't trust this. Give me the Cajuns.
Louisiana Tech at Sam Houston (-9.5)
Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 2
This feels a little high, but Tech struggled with UTEP last week, who are widely regarded as the worst team in Texas. I'll take the Bearkats. Hunter Watson is expected to play in this one.
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Evan Bullock, Louisiana Tech ($6.9K)
DK keeps showing the Bullock disrespect by pricing Jack Turner, the guy he replaced as the starter earlier this month, higher. I'm good with that. Bullock won't break the slate, but he won't be the reason you lose it either. He has only turned the ball over since he took the starting job in Week 5.
You don't get the rushing upside with Bullock that you get with Hunter Watson or Jordan McCloud, but the errors aren't there either. Price isn't much of a factor this week, so paying down at quarterback for two options with good upside that most will avoid can be the key to winning a GPP.
Chayden Peery, Florida International ($6.1K)
FIU played three different quarterbacks last week against UTEP, all of who threw an INT.
Now they've inserted a FOURTH quarterback, Chayden Peery, against Sam Houston.
He just attempted his first ever FBS pass.
— Carter Yates (@Carter_Yates16) October 23, 2024
That's how it went for FIU last week. Peery was the only quarterback to get the Panthers in the end zone. Considering Keyone Jenkins completed just one pass in nine tries last week, I expect Peery to get the start. His leash will be short though, so this is a high-risk GPP dart that could win you some cash.
Also consider: Jordan McCloud, Texas State ($9.3K); Ben Wooldridge, Louisiana ($8K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Ismail Mahdi, Texas State ($6.3K)
Mahdi has 303 rushing yards on 42 carries over the last two games, but hasn't found the end zone. He'll get there soon. At any rate, the volume of touches gives Mahdi the highest ceiling at the position. No one else comes close to the volume that Mahdi gets.

Bill Davis, Louisiana ($4.5K)
Zylan Perry wasn't doing much with his touches, so the Cajuns turned to Davis in the win over Coastal Carolina. Davis racked up 110 rushing yards and caught six passes, scoring on one of those. He has a high ceiling against Texas State. This is an element that the Cajun offense didn't have in the first seven weeks.
Also consider: Seth McGowan, New Mexico State ($5.5K); Jay Ducker, Sam Houston ($4.2K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Eric Rivers, Florida International ($6.1K)
Eric Rivera splits the defense for a Touchdown and FIU has the lead back!@FIUFootball pic.twitter.com/cbzAytYcUY
— College Football Live (@CollegeFBonX) October 17, 2024
Forget the spelling error and just watch the play. I'll spend my allotment on receivers tonight. On these mid-week slates, we don't often have a lot of talented receivers. There are tonight and I'm willing to spend for them.
Rivers found the end zone once FIU made the switch to Peery for the only FIU touchdown last week. I'm intrigued to see what can happen with a full week of practice together and Peery playing for a full game.
Tru Edwards, Louisiana Tech ($4.3K)
Insane athleticism and effort by Tru Edwards, even if this went nowhere pic.twitter.com/UHXd3ec33c
— Brett Gibbons (@roadtocfb) October 11, 2024
That's why I love watching Tru Edwards. His price dropped precipitously despite another six-reception game last week. It's nuts that his price is this low. Edwards is the surest thing on the slate at receiver. I will have Edwards in every line.
Terrance Carter, Louisiana ($3.5K)
What does this guy have to do to get some respect? Carter has 11 receptions for 256 yards and two touchdowns in the last two weeks and he's only priced at $3.5K. This is a massive pricing failure by DraftKings. Take advantage of it!
Also consider: Joey Hobert, Texas State ($6.7K); Qua'Vez Humphreys, Sam Houston ($4.8K); Lance LeGendre, Louisiana ($4K)
DraftKings CFB Stacks
Louisiana
The over/under on this game is 14 points higher than the other two. We can take advantage of the prices of Louisiana players. Wooldridge, Davis, and Carter only set you back $16K. Lance LeGendre can be added if you want the four-man stack.
Texas State
The Bobcats are good at home and McCloud is the most talented player on the slate. Hobert is a lock for at least a half-dozen receptions and the volume on Mahdi is better than anyone else. A game stack might take this down.
Also consider: Florida International
