We have an action-packed Friday night on tap tonight. Not just one but two ranked teams will take the field, including the second-ranked team in the country. How often do we have that on a Friday?
We begin in Durham, where Duke hosts Florida State. Oregon heads to Ross-Ade to take on a Purdue team that is playing better. Oklahoma State heads out to Provo to take on BYU. We finish this in Reno with Fresno in town to take on the Pack. This is going to be fun!
In this article, I will provide my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/18/24, locking at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower end. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Brendon Lewis, Nevada ($8K)
Brendon Lewis had six total TDs (2 pass, 4 rush) in 2023 & already has more than doubled that (13 — 9 pass, 4 rush) thru seven games this year.
He also leads the MW in completion % (67.1) with the second-best QBR.

Lewis struggled in a Colorado system that never really fit him and he couldn't lock down the Nevada job last year. However, this job was his early in the spring and he hasn't looked back. Lewis has made great strides as a passer and can rip off big chunks of yards on the ground. I like paying up for dual threats, especially since we saw John Mateer have a nice game against Fresno last week.
Jake Retzlaff, BYU ($7.4K)
The guy is a Jew on a Mormon campus. Not much is going to faze him. Retzlaff has multiple touchdowns in each of the last four games. He's not going to wow you with his yardage totals, but Retzlaff has curbed the mistakes since earlier in the season. This team is built on defense and special teams. It just needs Retzlaff to take care of the ball and wind the clock.
Also consider: Dillon Gabriel, Oregon ($9.6K); Maalik Murphy, Duke ($7.6K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Jordan James, Oregon ($7.5K)
Oregon RB Jordan James was a player that I was high on all offseason. Through six games this season:
? 111 ATT 668 YDS 6 TD
? 89.3 PFF RUN GRD
? 409 YCO
? 32 MTF
? 22 - 10+ RunsHe’s been one of the most consistent players on the Ducks offense
— Kevin (@Daboys_22) October 14, 2024
James has over 85 yards rushing in every game and has topped 100 yards in four of six games. He is also adding a few extra points by catching passes. Purdue has allowed a staggering 228.83 rushing yards per game and 3.3 touchdowns on the ground. IN EVERY GAME! The sky is the limit for James, especially if this game stays close.
Elijah Gilliam, Fresno State ($4.7K)
Malik Sherrod suffered an injury during the first half of the UNLV game. He was held out last week because of the injury, and this being a short week, I would expect him to be out again. We have no information, though. If we do get confirmation that Sherrod will play, I will pivot to Star Thomas.
Gilliam ran for 120 yards against Washington State last week and has a great shot at triple digits against Nevada here if Sherrod misses the game. Even if Sherrod returns, Gilliam could still have a good game, but I would move on to someone else. Sherrod could wind up stealing most of Gilliam's work.
Also consider: Savion Red, Nevada ($5.8K); Star Thomas, Duke ($5.7K); Hinckley Ropati, BYU ($3.7K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Evan Stewart, Oregon ($5.5K)
It took Traeshon Holden getting tossed for spitting for Stewart to finally break out for Oregon. The Texas A&M transfer had seven receptions for 149 yards in the win over Ohio State. We saw games like this regularly from Stewart before he left A&M. His price is low enough to take a chance on him locking up that WR2 role in Eugene.
Darius Lassiter, BYU ($5.1K)
Chase Roberts is looked to more as the end zone gets closer, but Lassiter is the guy that helps it get there. He has 13 receptions for 206 yards and a touchdown over the last two games. On paper, this is another game for BYU. In reality, the Oklahoma State defense is not a strong unit.
Raylen Sharpe, Fresno State ($4.9K)
Mac Dalena was the guy early on, but Mikey Keene has a new favorite target. Sharpe has 22 receptions for 225 yards over the last three games. The bad news? He hasn't found the end zone since Week 1 against Michigan.
Even if he's not getting that six points for a touchdown, his target share is well above any other receiver on the team. He'll do fine for this price whether he scores or not.
Also consider: Tez Johnson, Oregon ($7.9K); Chase Roberts, BYU ($5.8K); Max Klare, Purdue ($4.7K)
DraftKings CFB Stacks
BYU
No part of me trusts the Oklahoma State defense. Retzlaff, Roberts, and Lassiter will get you most of the passing game production, but where to go at running back? Hinckley Ropati had nine carries for 65 yards in his return and was far more efficient than LJ Martin. Ropati is the back we want.
Fresno State
This is based on price in what should be a high-scoring game. Mikey Keene, Mac Dalena, Jalen Moss, and Raylen Sharpe will only set you back a combined $22.5K. If Gilliam is named the starter, he's another very affordable piece for the Bulldogs.
Also consider: Oregon, Nevada
