We are still in the first week of the greatest 50 days of the year for any football fan. Last Wednesday marked day one of 50 consecutive days of either FBS or NFL football. What a time to be alive! For all of the evil things the Mouse does, one thing that is right about all of this is ESPN gobbling up the TV rights to Conference USA, the Fun Belt, and the MAC. Instead of putting those games on ESPN+ on Saturdays, they did the right thing for everyone and gave us mid-week football. The ESPN money may have destroyed the Pac-12, but it also gave us this.
We start off in Miami with UTEP visiting Florida International. Our night ends out west in Las Cruces with Sam Houston taking the long trip on I-10 to take on the Aggies. We've got an interesting one here!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/11/23, locking at 7:30 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

College Football Betting Picks October 11:
I don't have the full odds article done yet, so we are just going to do this here. That's what Wednesday games do to me. You know the drill!
UTEP at Florida International (-2.5)
Betting Confidence Factor: 3
Keyone Jenkins will play. Gavin Hardison might not. Advantage: FIU
Sam Houston at New Mexico State (-3.5)
Betting Confidence Factor: 3
The Aggies are really hard to pick this year. They look like a shadow of the team they were last year. Sam Houston may have finally found their offense. Hanging with a good Liberty team really showed me something. I'll take the Bearkats outright.
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Keyone Jenkins, Florida International ($6,700)
The kid is still going to make mistakes. He just turned 19, after all. Still, he has scored a rushing touchdown in each of the last three games and has topped 250 passing yards in two of those three games. Liberty really got after him. UTEP's defense isn't Liberty. Jenkins is going to have some room here, but the three interceptions in the last two games are a bit concerning. Despite that, Jenkins still has the most upside on the slate.
Keegan Shoemaker, Sam Houston ($6,100)
Maybe the benching did Shoemaker some good. He was benched for a couple of weeks after a rough game against Air Force. In the two games since his return, Shoemaker has a completion percentage around 60%, 540 passing yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions, and has run for 58 yards. Those aren't world-beating numbers in DFS, but considering those games were against Sam Houston and Liberty, that's pretty impressive. Those are two of the better defenses on the SHSU schedule.
Also consider: Diego Pavia, New Mexico State ($8,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Deion Hankins, UTEP ($5,400)
This is a convoluted RB room anyway, and when you add quarterback issues to the mix, it gets even worse. Hankins picked up more carries than Tony Burgess in his return to the field before the bye, but not by much. It was 15-11. Neither one caught a pass and neither one scored a touchdown. That said, UTEP is the team that will run the most on this slate, so we should get the highest volume out of their backs.
Tobias Weaver, Sam Houston ($3,000)
KC Keeler says he doesn’t expect Zach Hrbacek, John Gentry, Coco Brown or Charles Crawford to be available at RB on Wednesday.
Sounds like Tobias Weaver and Jordan Yates will see lots of reps.
— Sports of SHSU (@SportsofSHSU) October 9, 2023
Zach Hrbacek, Charles Crawford, John Gentry, and Landan Brown are all expected to be out for the Bearkats in this one. For those of you keeping score at home, that's the top four running backs on the depth chart. Georgia Tech transfer Jordan Yates is expected to get most of the carries, but he isn't even in the DraftKings player pool. Epic fail. That leaves us with Tobias Weaver and Colorado transfer Adrian Murdaugh. Roulette is fun, isn't it? For minimum price, I'll play in GPPs.
Also consider: Star Thomas, New Mexico State ($6,500); Kejon Owens, Florida International ($5,800)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Kris Mitchell, Florida International ($7,400)
Mitchell is the favorite target of Keyone Jenkins. It looks like Jenkins has been cleared to play, so Mitchell is probably the safest play on the entire slate. He hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 3, but he has 180 yards on 12 receptions in the last two games. That's a solid return even if he doesn't find the end zone.
Noah Smith, Sam Houston ($5,900)
Smith is the lock of the slate and it's not close. He has 23 receptions for 194 yards and a touchdown along with nine carries out of the backfield in the last two games alone. Shoemaker and Smith have led the Bearkats within shouting distance of their first FBS win. It is also worth noting that Smith has about as much experience in the backfield as what Sam Houston has left at running back. He is likely to see some carries as well.
Al'vonte Woodard, Sam Houston ($4,600)
The transfer from Texas had only one target (he caught it) in the first month of the season but exploded against Liberty with both of the touchdowns for the Bearkats. Four catches doesn't move the needle much, but Woodard getting red zone targets sure does. He's a four-star recruit. His usage should stay around this area.
Also consider: Jonathan Brady, New Mexico State ($5,700); Kelly Akharaiyi, UTEP ($5,400); Dean Patterson, Florida International ($4,300)
DraftKings CFB Stacks:
Florida International
UTEP's defense hasn't been all that bad, but they have been the worst on the slate. FIU may not be the easiest team to stack because of the timeshare at running back on a team that doesn't run a lot, but you can use the passing game stack. Jenkins throws mostly to Kris Mitchell, but Patterson and Eric Rivers both tallied five or more receptions in the game against New Mexico State last week.
Also consider: Sam Houston, UTEP
