We have a busy night with nine games on Tuesday. I like the pre-conference DraftKings tournaments because we have a nice mix of mid-majors and power teams. We don't see much of that once the new year is here and conference play begins in earnest.
We open this up in Jersey with Seton Hall hosting Monmouth. The conventional start time brings Georgia Southern up to Knoxville to take on the Vols. The (formerly) Flying Dutchmen of Hofstra head to Cameron to take on Duke. Tennessee-Martin heads over to Raleigh to take on the Pack. Maryland plays host to Alcorn State. We have IUPUI in Minneapolis to take on the Gophers. Coppin State heads to D.C. to take on Georgetown. Oral Roberts heads to Lubbock to take on Tech. We end this out west with California Baptist in Eugene to take on the Ducks.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/12/23, starting at 6:30 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards
Issac McBride, Oral Roberts ($8,200)
McBride has played all but three minutes total in the seven games Oral Roberts has played this season. That's not a typo. He has played 282 of 285 minutes so far this year. Predictably, his stats are through the roof. McBride has done a really good job of replacing Max Abmas. I'm not scared of Texas Tech. McBride played all 45 minutes against Kansas State at the end of November. He produces against everyone.
Josiah-Jordan James, Tennessee ($7,500)
The Vols have played a tough schedule so far this year. JJJ struggled in Hawaii against Purdue and Kansas but has 98.25 DraftKings points in the three games since returning from the islands. James is a capable scorer, but his real value lies in the peripherals. He has at least five rebounds in every game this season and has piled up 13 assists in the last two games.
Kareem Thompson, Oral Roberts ($6,600)
I'll see you the 282 minutes that Issac McBride has played and raise you one more minute. That's right... Thompson has played all but two minutes on the season, both in the Missouri State game. Thompson isn't the shooter that McBride is, but he still piles on the ancillary stats. He too had good games against Kansas State and Texas A&M. I'm chasing the sheer volume of the Oral Roberts guards in this one tonight.
Jackson Shelstad, Oregon ($5,100)
The freshman is seeing good minutes lately with Jesse Zarzuela out with an undisclosed injury. The Ducks let him run with the backups in the blowout win over UTEP over the weekend, so Shelstad is one of the few Ducks with safe minutes tonight if this game is a blowout as expected. Shelstad is averaging 12 points and two assists in his three starts in place of Zarzuela. It's not a lot, but it's good enough at this price.
Also consider: Kadary Richmond, Seton Hall ($8,800); Jayden Epps, Georgetown ($7,500); Darlinstone Dubar, Hofstra ($7,100); Elijah Hawkins, Minnesota ($7,000); Jayden Taylor, North Carolina State ($6,800); Byron Joshua, Alcorn State ($5,900); Greg Spurlock, Coppin State ($5,300); Jakari Spence, Monmouth ($4,500); MJ Rice, North Carolina State ($3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards
Julian Reese, Maryland ($9,700)
I don't know that I'll pay up at forward, but if I do, it will be for Reese. Duke has too many weapons. Reese has still hit the mark for Maryland even in blowout wins. I can't say the same for any Duke players. Reese put up 54 DraftKings points on Rider and 39.75 on UMBC in the two blowout wins for the Terrapins. If this gets out of hand, it's a certainty that Reese will be the reason why.
Jaden Bediako, Seton Hall ($6,800)
His brother Charles shined for Alabama last year on a team full of stars. The younger Bediako is more of a factor for the Hall. Bediako is a very strong rebounder and rim protector. He's not much of a scorer yet, but he's efficient when he does get shots. He just doesn't go out of his way to get them. Bediako still averages 10 points per game. He's a strong producer in all categories, giving him a good floor.
Ismael Massoud, Georgetown ($5,500)
Massoud was a key figure in Kansas State's run to the Elite Eight last year. He finally made his 2023-24 debut three games ago and he is picking up where he left off. Massoud has 32 points, 22 rebounds, seven blocks, five steals, and three assists in three games. DraftKings hasn't adjusted the price yet, so he remains a free space that we can't afford to avoid. Massoud is easily going to hit value at this price.
Joshua Ola-Joseph, Minnesota ($5,200)
Both Dawson Garcia and Pharrel Payne are nursing injuries. Even if one or both play, I doubt the Gophers will push them hard against IUPUI. They shouldn't have a reason to. That should leave plenty of minutes and production for Ola-Joseph and Isaiah Ihnen. Ihnen has been a spark in limited minutes, but I prefer the more defined role of Ola-Joseph at a lower price.
Also consider: Kyle Filipowski, Duke ($10,000); Jonas Aidoo, Tennessee ($7,000); Mark Mitchell, Duke ($6,000); Issa Muhammad, Tennessee-Martin ($5,500); Jaret Valencia, Monmouth ($4,600); Eugene Brown III, Georgia Southern ($3,700)
