DraftKings CBB DFS Guards
KJ Simpson, Colorado ($8,200)
Simpson piled up six 20-point outings last year for the Buffaloes. He has two in three games to start the 2023-24 season. Not only that, but Simpson has piled up 14 assists, 12 rebounds, and six steals in only 74 minutes of court time in three games. The competition ramps up a notch against Richmond, but Simpson should still be leading the charge for the Ralphies.
Tristen Newton, Connecticut ($7,700)
Newton dominated in 34 minutes in UConn's first "real" opponent this season. He racked up 23 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and a pair of steals in the blowout win over Indiana. Texas appears to be one of the better teams in the Big 12(14) again this year and is a real test for UConn today. If last year's NCAA Tournament taught us anything, it's that Newton steps up when the lights are bright.
Jordan King, Richmond ($6,400)
Even when King's shooting is off, he still finds ways to produce. Despite a 3-for-11 effort against Boston College last week, King still picked up six rebounds, three assists, and a steal. He still hit double figures in scoring thanks to his ability to get to the line. This is a sneaky-good matchup against Colorado and King is priced right.
John Blackwell, Wisconsin ($4,500)
The freshman is a sharpshooter off the bench and can pile up points in a hurry. Blackwell has scored in double figures in all three games in which he has logged at least 10 minutes. This is a tough matchup against Virginia, but Blackwell's ability to pile up points in a hurry at a low price is perfect for large-field GPP tournaments.
Also consider: Reece Beekman, Virginia ($7,500); Rob Dillingham, Kentucky ($7,300); Daniss Jenkins, St. John's ($7,300); Kobe Johnson, West Virginia ($6,500); Chuck Harris, SMU ($6,000); J'Vonne Hadley, Colorado ($4,200)

Adem Bona, UCLA ($8,800)
This UCLA team is missing a lot of veterans from last season. Bona has taken over as the leading scorer for the Bruins and has two 20-point outings in three games. He's still a force on the boards and a great rim protector as well. Bona's ceiling is really high against an undersized Marquette squad. I wouldn't expect a huge point total, but the peripheral stats will still give us plenty of points.
Oso Ighodaro, Marquette ($7,400)
Ighodaro passed his first big test against Illinois last week. He is playing big minutes so far for Marquette and has posted a double-double while flirting with the achievement in both other games. Foul shooting is really the only weakness in Ighodaro's game. UCLA's defense is going to test the shooting of Marquette and I trust the interior more than the outside shots.
Quinn Slazinski, West Virginia ($6,900)
The Mountaineers are built on stifling defense and timely scoring. Slazinski has provided a good amount of scoring so far. He has 52 points, 16 rebounds, nine assists, a steal, and a block in three games. He has made multiple three-point shots in every game as well. SMU likes to go fast and the Mountaineers are going to need Slazinski's scoring to help them keep up with the Ponies.
Kadin Shedrick, Texas ($5,300)
Dillon Johnson was doing a solid job filling in for Dylan Disu, but Shedrick took over the game against Louisville last night. He posted 27 points in 11-of-15 shooting while hauling down seven rebounds. I will be shocked if Texas doesn't use Shedrick to counteract the size of Donovan Clingan for UConn. He could be in for another big game here.
Also consider: Neal Quinn, Richmond ($8,000); Tre Mitchell, Kentucky ($7,100); Eddie Lampkin, Colorado ($6,400); Leon Bond, Virginia ($5,400); Aday Mara, UCLA ($4,400)
