BALLER MOVE: Add In 12-Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Donte Moncrief appears to be gaining the trust of quarterback Blake Bortles. Moncrief saw a career-high 15 targets of Bortles' 61 pass attempts in the Jaguars 30-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. However, the two were only able to hook up on six of those throws for 76 yards. 25 of those yards came on a deep throw late in the game when the Chiefs already had the game in hand.
Moncrief has now strung together two solid games. The physically gifted and talented 25-year-old has 11 receptions for 185 yards over the last two games as he totaled a season-high 109 yards, with 67 yards coming on a catch and run touchdown pass against the New York Jets in Week 4. For the season, he has reeled in 18 of 37 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns.
Moncrief has demonstrated his versatility that made him such a tantalizing prospect when the Indianapolis Colts plucked him out of Ole Miss with the No. 90 overall selection in 2014. He runs solid routes and is a reliable pass catcher whether on short, intermediate or deep throws. The fifth-year pro, who has the ability to gain separation from most cornerbacks, has recorded most of his 76 yards after the catch over the last two games.
Moncrief's potential in the red zone is what makes him intriguing to fantasy owners. Moncrief leads the Jaguars with five red zone targets, although he has only been able to come up with one of those throws. Four of the red zone targets have come when the Jaguars have gotten inside the 10.
Moncrief and the Jaguars don't have a great matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, who are giving up a decent amount of yards and an average of one touchdown per week to wide receivers, in Week 6. But he has seen an increase in his snap count in each of the five games, topping 60 in each of the last two contests, while also positioning himself as the team's No. 2 receiver. Given all of that and the fact that Bortles is likely to continue to throw the ball a lot, nabbing Moncrief from the waiver wire would be a smart move for fantasy owners.
