BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was off the fantasy football radar entering the year. Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed were the only three Green Bay wide receivers getting draft consideration in August.
Wicks is the WR69 for the year, averaging 5.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. While he has struggled to earn enough targets to have fantasy value when everyone is healthy, the rookie has stepped up with Watson battling a hamstring injury.
Last week, the wide receiver had six receptions on seven targets for 97 receiving yards and 12.7 fantasy points, all career-highs. Wicks finished first on the team in receptions and receiving yards while coming in second in targets behind Reed.
This week, he faces a Carolina Panthers defense that has held wide receivers the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game in the NFL (22.4). While the matchup on the surface looks unfriendly for fantasy players, Wicks has some deep sleeper appeal.
The Panthers have one of the most zone-heavy defenses in the league. The rookie wide receiver has been more productive against zone than man coverage this year, averaging more yards per route run against zone.
Fantasy players likely have better and safer options on their team this week. However, Wicks is an appealing desperation long-shot in deeper leagues if Watson misses his third consecutive game.
