ANALYSIS: It was hard to get a read on the Browns passing game in Week 1.
On one hand, the team threw for the second-fewest yards in the league in Week 1 with 138. On the other hand, the team was 16th in pass attempts with 34.
That total number of opportunities is why Donovan Peoples-Jones is appealing in deep leagues.
The third-year receiver out of Michigan was the favorite target of quarterback Jacoby Brissett on Sunday, with 11 targets. No one else had more than six. Peoples-Jones caught six of those passes for 60 yards—both numbers were the best marks on the team.
While Amari Cooper is still the most talented receiver on this team, Peoples-Jones has shown that he's a reliable weapon. Expect him to continue getting a large share of this team's targets going forward. Peoples-Jones doesn't have a very high ceiling in this offense, but he's a strong floor play in deep leagues.
