Stop trying to make N'Keal Harry happen.
At least the Minnesota Vikings are giving up on the potential of Harry as a wide receiver, moving the former first-round pick to tight end in 2024. Can the position change revive Harry's career or is he destined to be mentioned among the all-time first-round busts at wide receiver?
On paper, it doesn't make a ton of sense. Despite rostering one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL, inexperienced and journeymen wideouts sit behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Although T.J. Hockenson is injured, the Vikings' depth at tight end isn't a concern.

Does N'Keal Harry Have Fantasy Football Value In 2024?
N'Keal Harry, originally drafted 32nd overall by New England in 2019, has 64 catches in his five-year career. 33 of those receptions came in his second season. Just 19 passes have been secured by Harry in his last three seasons, including zero in nine games in his first season in Minnesota.
T.J. Hockenson tore his ACL and MCL in Week 16 last season and probably won't be healthy enough to play when the new year begins. In theory, there's a lot of vacated production at the position while Hockenson recovers. He set career-best marks in receptions (95) and yards (960) in 15 games.
That was mostly with Kirk Cousins under center. He's a member of the Atlanta Falcons now, leaving Sam Darnold and rookie first-round pick J.J. McCarthy to battle for the starting job. They won't be as efficient as Cousins, nor does any tight end on the roster stack up with Hockenson in the talent department.
Harry is slated to compete with Josh Oliver, Johnny Mundt, and offseason addition Robert Tonyan for early-season reps at tight end. The latter has reportedly been impressive in the team's minicamp.
Robert Tonyan has looked great in minicamp. No hyperbole. Catching everything, snagged multiple passes in red-zone period today, outstretched arms, toe-tapping in corner of the end zone. Just impressive.

There's a decent chance that Harry will not even make the final roster in Minnesota in September. Fantasy managers don't need to include him on their draft day cheat sheets in any format.
