The 57th installment of this contest is coming up and will feature the Cowboys squaring off against the NFC East divisional-rival New York Giants, who sit at just 2-9 after 11 games. It seems this game's outcome is obvious, but you never know what could happen.
But what about historically? Do the Cowboys have history on their side on this day?

Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Historical Record
All time, Dallas boasts a record of 33 wins, 22 losses, and one tie, giving it just under a 0.59 winning percentage. That seems pretty solid, but lately, it has been middling. It has been just 4-6 in the last 10 seasons in this game. It won the past two years but dropped three straight in the three years prior.

The worst of these games was in 2020. In the absence of their starting quarterback, the Cowboys were manhandled by the Washington Commanders, 41-16. It's been a while since that game, but it's been longer since Dallas' last streak of dominance in the first of the NFL's slate of holiday games.
You have to go back to 2006-2009 to see the last time it put together a four-game winning streak. The Cowboys were able to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38-10, the New York Jets 34-3, the Seattle Seahawks 34-9, and the then-Oakland Raiders 24-7 in consecutive years.

Quarterback Tony Romo was the team's last key to consistent domination on Thanksgiving. Dallas' current QB1, Dak Prescott (hamstring), hasn't been able to put together a streak like that. He's now out for the season, so he won't be able to. The team could pull off a win against one of the NFL's worst teams, though.
