ANALYSIS: The Detroit Lions made it clear before Sunday's game: Jared Goff is not a bridge quarterback but rather a building block to lead the team in future seasons. I am 100% behind that decision (sorry, haters).
DJ Chark might also be on Goff's wagon considering what they did last Sunday and since the wideout has been playing on a full-time basis for the last three weeks.
Chark played in Week 11 too, yes, but only 11 snaps while getting eased into the rhythm of competition, having been out since Week 3. In the last three weeks, though, he's seen 5+ targets every time, caught 2+ passes, and scored two total touchdowns. In fact, it could be said that Chark has either kept or raised his performance bar on a weekly basis for three consecutive weeks.
The WR is coming off a season-best 21.4 PPR game against Minny this past weekend. He reached that mark with a 6-reception, 7-target, 94-yard, 1-TD outing. He's gone from 2 to 5 to 6 receptions, from 5 to 6 to 7 targets, and from 16 to 98 to 94 receiving yards in the past three weeks. He scored his second TD of the year in W12 and now has three on the season with his third arriving last Sunday.
Chark has finished two consecutive slates with 94+ yards and 5+ receptions while reaching top-24 and top-12 WR levels of production on back-to-back weeks. You won't be able to acquire much better players for free this deep into the season and ahead of the fantasy playoffs.
