It's the weekend where we party in the city where the heat is on, all night on the beach till the break of dawn (from our homes though). NASCAR hit Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time where it's not November or a championship race. Drivers have spoken about the mysteries that lie ahead for Sunday's race, but none seem too opposed.
No practice or qualifying makes this a tough race to predict, but looking back on past races we can see that this is a place where the championship contenders reign supreme. With no championship on the line, one could wonder if the big dogs of NASCAR will push as hard for a win. After taking 24 hours to think about it, I realized that everyone will be pushing hard due to this being a historic race for the sport (how lucky are we that we get two of those historical races back to back).
Homestead is a 1.5 Mile Intermediate track located south of the city, and you can bet it's going to be hot as lava on Sunday afternoon for these drivers. Many DFS players experienced the wrath of this on Wednesday night after playing Austin Dillon at Martinsville (He needed that Drip), but unfortunately, we can't predict this type of issue. I expect the track to be different from the pure Miami heat, but ultimately Homestead is (in a way) like Augusta National, and the champs should be just fine.

Kevin Harvick #4
(DraftKings $11,800 | FanDuel $14,500 | DK SportsBook +500 )
Harvick keeps landing in great starting positions that allow him the opportunity for place differential and leading laps. Kevin has consistently finished inside the Top 5 at this track since 2016, and I can't see much changing on that front this Sunday. Harvick will start this race in P7.
Michael McDowell #34
(DraftKings $5,200 | FanDuel $5,000 | DK SportsBook +50000)
McDowell (AKA Mac Value) is yet again a solid play for the guys priced under $6,000. By no means will Michael be the star of the show, but for his price, we know he can get the place differential that will give you the edge you need to get the most out of your lineups. McDowell starts in P30 on Sunday, and should easily work his way up for a Top 30 finish.
Erik Jones #20
(DraftKings $6,500 | FanDuel $9,400 | DK SportsBook +4000 )
Despite his recently crappy results, I'M JONESIN' FOR ERIK JONES! I've been questioned about why I am playing Erik this week and the answer is simple, Gibbs equipment, price/position, and a driver's luck can turn around. Jones will start the race in P15, and he is trending in the right direction at this track after last year's P3 finish in Miami.
Aric Almirola #10
(DraftKings $6,300 | FanDuel $8,500 | DK SportsBook +8000 )
You may be questioning your sanity right now, but no need to panic because your eyes haven't failed you, I am in support of Aric Almirola this week. It's weird to talk about this guy, but after doing more research I can't pass up Almirola starting in P21 at this price. I'm feeling a Top 15 finish for Aric, and I can only hope he munches on a fist full of bacon post-race (shoutout to Smithfield).

William Byron #24
(DraftKings $7,800 | FanDuel $10,000 | DK SportsBook +4000 )
I can imagine Willy B big chillin' on the beach with Ryan Blaney's Sister come Monday after bagging a Top 10 finish at Homestead. Byron usually has too fast of a car during a normal season, and qualifies way to high in the field to make him a good play. After seeing that he'll be starting in P22, I want all the smoke (not Tony Stewart).
Martin Truex Jr. #19
(DraftKings $11,400 | FanDuel $13,300 | DK SportsBook +500 )
artin took Martinsville, and he could easily pull the back to back win in Homestead. Truex has a great record at this track (as do most of the champs) carrying over 100 laps led in the past three years and three Top 3 finishes since 2017. Truex starts in P6, and you should bank on his recent winning confidence to carry into the weekend.
Tyler Reddick #8
(DraftKings $7,300 | FanDuel $8,300 | DK SportsBook +2500)
Reddick is one of my favorite plays this Sunday at Homestead. As a former Xfinity Series champion, he knows how to run, and win at this track, and shows the most promise (not to mention his odds to win are pretty nice) to have the best finish out of all the rookies. Reddick starts in P24 on Sunday.
Kyle Busch #18
(DraftKings $10,100 | FanDuel $13,700 | DK SportsBook +550 )
M&M's Busch made all our lineups go to the south side of Swingtown this past Wednesday at Martinsville, but dont expect him to drop the ball two races in a row. Busch starts this race in P4, which is more than close enough for him to jump up front and lead laps at. Busch is one of my favorites to win this race on Sunday.
