BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end WR1
ANALYSIS: What a difference quality quarterback play makes for a talented receiver. Diontae Johnson looked like he was headed for another down season with Bryce Young leading Carolina’s offense. However, things changed when Young was benched, and Andy Dalton was named the starter.
Johnson has posted finishes of WR6 and WR10 and is the PPR WR3 since Dalton took over.

Carolina travels to Chicago to take on the Bears in Week 5. This will be Johnson’s toughest matchup with Dalton as starter. Chicago allows the seventh fewest PPR points per game to opposing receivers and ranks eighth in PFF’s pass coverage grade.
Johnson has been targeted 27 times in the last two games and will remain the focal point of Carolina’s passing game. This is a tough draw, and we may not see as strong of a performance, but there’s just no way managers can justify sitting Johnson, given the volume he’s receiving.
Gamers should fire up Johnson as a low-end WR1. He’s getting enough volume that he could still have a quality outing, even in a tough matchup. Keep riding the wave, and keep Johnson in your lineup.
