DFS Lineup Picks Recap from Week 2 of FanDuel Football

Each week here at RotoBaller, we provide the subscribers of our DFS Lineup Picks of the Week Newsletter with some of the highest quality advice for salary cap fantasy football on FanDuel.

Why We Love Weekly Fantasy Football

Are you looking for some more fantasy football action, and want to get involved in weekly DFS games on FanDuel? I know I am. Are you one of those people whose fantasy football team is sporting a lackluster record through the first two weeks of the 2014 NFL season? Have you already been eliminated in your fantasy baseball leagues, or not that happy with the team you drafted this year in fantasy football? Maybe you are a frustrated Adrian Peterson, Ryan Mathews or Knowshon Moreno owner (just to mention a few injury disappointments). Well we have the perfect remedy for your fantasy football appetite.

The weekly format of FanDuel fantasy football is just what the doctor ordered. Draft a new team each week, and battle it out against your friends or as many opponents as you please on FanDuel. It's my favorite way to supplement my fantasy football teams, and plug-and-play guys that I wish I owned in my leagues on a weekly basis. After all there's nothing like owning Megatron or LeSean McCoy for one week, when you missed out on them in all of your season-long fantasy football leagues.

Looking for An Edge?

If you play salary cap leagues on FanDuel, then our expert picks can give you the edge you need to win. Each week we analyze the player matchups, and the associated pricing on FanDuel, to identify the sleepers and value picks to put together a winning lineup. With each newsletter, you will receive our well-researched weekly picks for each position, with both a “Strong Play” and a “Value Play”, and we will also include two or three budget buster tournament plays for each position. All in all, you will be receiving a minimum of 12 of our expertly hand-picked recommendations for your gaming pleasure!

We’ve reprinted some of RotoBaller’s lineup picks from last week’s subscribers-only exclusive newsletter to give you an idea of the FanDuel analysis that we put forward each and every week. As you can see below, our experts had some sweet recommendations for Week 2 lineups, so hopefully you got in on the action! And if not, no worries, there’s still plenty of time for Week 3 and beyond.

A Recap of Some DFS Lineup Picks from Week 2

RB (Strong) - Giovani Bernard ($7,800) - After clearly not being in a platoon with Jeremy Hill in Week 1, we expect another 14+ point performance out of the second year stud running back. Once again, it will be a potential shootout in Cincinnati with the Falcons in town, so this slightly undervalued back is in for a big old day at the home office.

Result: 90 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 79 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns

RB (Budget Buster) - Matt Asiata ($4,500) - With the breaking news of Adrian Peterson being deactivated for allegedly smacking down his son, the always ready Matt Asiata will be stepping up to bat for the bulk of the snaps in Week 2. The Vikings are set to face a weak Patriots run defense and for this cheap of a price, we think he could return a huge investment for this week’s tournament action.

Result: 36 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 48 receiving yards, 1 touchdown

WR (Value) - Eric Decker ($6,300) - The Jet’s #1 wide receiver simply does not get enough respect. Even though they are not a prolific passing offense, this a talented and large body for Geno Smith to throw to. We expect 9-10 targets again in Week 2, so we think he’s a steal at $6,300.

Result: 4 receptions, 63 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
