BALLER MOVE: Add Immediately In All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Thank goodness the Falcons kept this dude a secret for as long as they did because many fantasy owners didn't even realize how good this rookie running back really is on draft day, especially if you did yours early in the off season. In addition to the rumors of Steven Jackson's demise being 100% accurate, and because he's on the wrong side of 30 and only played in 12 games last year (and rushed the ball 157 times for less than 600 yards), we were in love with Devonta Freeman's skill set regardless of where he landed.
Since he is running behind an old, broken down, sloppy Jalopy, he's primed for an even higher probability of getting touches by necessity (our favorite) even though there are other backs still hanging around, and therefore there is elevated urgency to pick him up now before he blows up officially.
When there is low upside back like Shonne Greene or Jonathan Dwyer getting the default work, you want nothing to do with wasting a valuable bench spot (of forcing the start the reap lowly numbers) unless you are in a 14+ team league, but when a young, dynamic rookie with tremendous upside is on the near horizon, you want to be stashing this bad boy on your bench. Trust us, if you own this dude, you'll be thanking us by week 6 latest. Don't say we didn't tell you so and just grab him tonight if possible.
